Three-way wrestling matches must have a winner. Otherwise there’s no point to one. It’s the same here, no doubt. So hopefully more votes will be cast. Aren't the winners of wrestling matches decided before the bouts? What are you suggesting about the Jamie Awards?! Oh, I see. Illusions shattered. I did wonder how Hulk Hogan managed to lift up, slam and then defeat Andre the Giant.

A little more than 24 hours left!
Thanks to a few last minute voters, all ties are currently broken, but I'd still love to see a little more participation. Right now, if we get ONE MORE voter, we tie last year for lowest number of participating members. Taking a glass half full approach, it would take only TEN MORE voters for this to become the year with the highest number of participating members. So, if you're reading this, and you haven't voted yet, please take less than sixty seconds to chime in and help make sure these awards represent the WHOLE community.

Only 11 votes makes the difference , wow. The only negative about this great forum is that the traffic is usually lite day to day.

I think that's pretty good for a not-for-profit community run by volunteers that has no paid advertising. The favorite local bar gets less traffic than we do. I just wish more of them would vote!

There’s an axiom that 20 percent of people will do 80 percent of a given job. The rest just stand by the sidelines.

I think of it as fun that people are missing out on because they assume their opinion doesn't count or isn't wanted. If I could change one thing about this place, it would be the impression some have that there is a core group of regulars and that everyone else is an outsider. Such a strange notion when we're all so damn friendly.

Don't blame me, I already voted. Besides, my default write-in candidate for any election has always been Pat Paulsen... living or dead.
Of course, if the Jamie Awards were being held in Cook County IL, I could vote again and again under the auspice of my non-living relatives... thereby shattering any previous turnout records.

Maybe we'd get a bigger turnout if we instituted the grand Australian tradition of the democracy sausage (although I'm not sure how it would work virtually).
