World's Finest and Superman were very entertaining this week. World's Finest continues to be my favorite book on the stands right now. I'm not sure I'm liking the change in focus in Nightwing. It feels less like a solo book and more like a Titans book. It read like a generic book. Rather bland imo. I am very happy with the Titans being around, but the plot was very disappointing... I hope that's not going to be the whole 6 issue story. Also, that seems like a MASSIVE powerup for Starfire, since when can she lift 20 tons? I also found it interesting they called out Titans Academy.. the bits of that I'd read/seen didn't fit in with the current Nightwing stories even a little bit. I might have to read those once they get to hoopla. Those things are all forgiven though since we get another team up with Jon Kent as the backup. They really just need to make this World's Finest. (obviously Damian would turn up at some point too). |
