Something you don't see too often, uncirculated DC pence variants from the bronze-age....these are mostly 'like new' and buying in bulk saved me $$$. These are some from a large stash of DCs....glad to get some Jonah Hex in the mix.

Break out the smelling salts in case you faint....I bought a comic with a missing piece on the lower portion of the cover!
I'm seeing 2 mid grade copies on ebay listed for $399-$600 each!
This one was part of a small lot of 4 for $55....even if it clocks in at VG with a flaw I can't fix I don't care less....I'll clean and press what I can.
I Dream of Jeannie #1

Got these 4 for a bargain $20, the Forbidden Worlds by itself usually goes for 40-50 and the other Herbies are useful spares as I can currently build half of an extra set. All are in the region of 7.5 - 9.2, and maybe better after a clean & press.

Can never go wrong with Herbie Popnecker... or Ogden Whitney covers! (although the last one is Kurt Schaffenberger, I think)

Bling buy, just because it came along at a price to good to pass up on. CGC 9.4 means Near Mint. The new series is stirring up some attention with the original one from 2000 and this white cover #1 will always be a prize to own.

I got this in the mail today. I had the entire 13 issue Heroes Reborn run but I didn't have the Rob Liefeld cover for #1.

These Last Gasp sales are killing me! They seem to be cleaning out the warehouse, so the books are in good shape (even if they usually arrive unbagged) + discounts on specific artists, in this case 60% off anything with Corben or Bode.

Today's mail call, a small Lonestar order because 2 books I needed to finish short runs came in stock (found out via their e-mail notifications for my want lists), and rounded out the order with a handful of other books. finishing my run of Frank Frazetta Fantasy Illustrated with #6 finishing my run of Will Eisner Quarterly with #8, and with Spirit Magazine #36, I now only need 1 issue to finish the run of that (#27). and also picked up another Uncle Scrooge Adventures (#5) to mark one off the list and Life with Archie #125, that got on my radar when someone here posted the cover a couple years back as part of a content or cover game we had going. -M

The Batman story is passable. I didn’t mention it on the Batman thread because it’s overshadowed by the Outsider story in #356, the next issue. (Which also isn’t such a great story but it’s kind of awesome in its madcap audacity.)

I like Betty's outfit on that cover - very '70s! It makes her look just a bit older or more mature than usual, which makes me wonder, has there ever been a series where the Archie characters were taken a few years ahead, say into their mid twenties or later?

Paging shaxper Here's a chance for you to talked about the Married Life with Archie, which I know is one of your favorites, and which I know very little of the details of except that it exists. -M
