The files come as CBR files, which I can extract onto my hard drive with the 7-ZIP program... but, reading the included instructions suggested I try getting the GonVisor program, designed specifically for reading CBR files. It's free, I downloaded & installed it, and gave it a try. YES, this is BETTER than extracting the files. Easier to view in a variety of ways, and I don't have tie up hard drive space Welcome to digital comic reading!
I'm used to reading comics on my computer, mostly connected with my blog projects. I just thought I'd pass this on because of the sheer volume of comics I got my hands on, and the difference in storage space involved. Also, once I checked out that viewing program, I could see it was a LOT more flexible and handy than just using my regular viewer.
Also, when I first popped one of the discs in, I didn't realize they were CBR files! I figured it might be a help to anyone else who went after discs like those, to avoid confusion.

I've tried many readers, but not GonVisor in particular, so I don't know how flexible it actually is. Just a tip, don't settle for the first one, try a few, you might find one that suits you better.

The September 1981 issue came with a detached cover. Irksome, but beggars can't be choosers.

It almost looks like the Scarlet Witch is only half-dressed and Quicksilver is helping her on with the rest of her costume. It also reminds me of how much I hate that wimple, or whatever her headdress is called.

Well, if you don't like her wimple, don't watch Wandavision...

These 50 yr old Archies were most likely just bundled away without being bagged, boarded...but also left alone. Wear is minimal, all in the vicinity of VF. But at about a buck each I couldn't care less.

Been a few weeks since I posted my wins in the FB group auctions. I wound up winning a handful of stuff this week, mostly $1 readers, but one other thing too, and had picked up a book or two each of the previous weeks. The dollar books this week, first a trio of Bronze Age Batman books, low grade but for a buck, sign me up... a book with a Darwyn Cooke story I didn't have (and oh yeah Stan Lee writing Superman for those who might go for that sort of thing)... a book with some local flavor as we are in the metro-Dayton area... and that other thing, a sealed polybag 3 pack with an issue of Pirates of Dark Water I didn't have (oh and a couple of ASM's with Moon Knight in them, all for just $3 and here is the sum total of the previous few weeks before that... another $1 Bronze Age Superman a reader copy of the debut of Adventures of Superman, I love that Ordway cover and may use this for something if I get an upgrade... This one I picked up for a buck for my mom, who is a big fan of the show... and I usually focus on the 2002 Catwoman series, but the price was right for this... a Brubaker series I didn't have... and finally, an issue with a lot of great talent contributing... -M
