Today made what will be my last trip to this little store in an out-of-the-way town for the foreseeable future, as my business travels will not take me that way for a while. I'd been there a couple of weeks ago and picked up a nice bunch of Star Wars and Marvel Team-Up issues for $.50 each, so I figured I would give it another try to see if there were any more goodies I may have missed last time, which turned out to be:
$.50 each
Marvel Chillers #4 - Tigra story, versus Kraven Marvel Premier #49 - Falcon solo story, which I thought might be cool to get now that Sam is the new Captain America Marvel Team-Up #'s 32, 49, 51, 55, 67, 82, 86, 88, 90, 103 and 110 - I'm going to let my older daughter read these, as she really likes MTU Star Wars #'s 11 and 83
Star Wars #21 - $2.50 Star Wars #88 - #3.00
Total bill, with tax, was less than $14.

In one of those fortuitous scenarios that seem to happen to every other poster in this forum on an almost daily basis, but never normally happens to me, I chanced upon a market stall selling a box of Bronze Age comics for £1 each the other day. There were tons of Marvel Conan comics, which I'm not particularly interested in, and quite a few Eclipse titles as well, but I managed to pick up three issues of The 'Nam that I actually needed and I took a shot on a few other bits and pieces, including issue #1 of Eclipse Magazine. All in all, a decent little haul, I'd say.

Nothing like Saturday morning loot, am I right guys? Here's what I got today (sorry kind of blurry): The Giant-Size Creatures with 1st app. of Tigra was a surprise score, found a nice copy for under $10 so that made my day. Just had to have the Spidey Super Stories #45, if only for the hilariously cheesy Dr. Doom quotes in the issue. I had no idea What If #11 was drawn by Kirby, who also plays as Thing in the story. Flipped through Shogun Warriors #19 and already feeling like it's the best in the series by just looking at it (and completes my run!). Captain America #226 has to be the silliest Cap story I've ever seen (and I love it), and Ka-Zar is also up there as one of the strangest "last issue" stories out there. Also got Adventure #502 digest: And couldn't resist these Bubble Funnies:

Nice pickups! I'm jealous of those Legion and Swamp Thing finds.

Giant-Size Creatures #1 is an awesome time capsule for mid-1979s comics. Don Perlin is one of my favorite idiosyncratic artists. He almost looks like an artist from an off-brand 1950s horror comic, and it's perfect for Werewolf by Night and Tigra.
I'm jealous of your acquisition of The Batman Family! I have one issue, where Batgirl and Batwoman team up against Killer Moth and the Cavalier! I want more!

Lots of killer stuff posted here since I last came by. Congrats everyone! I've picked up a bunch of stuff, all on-line though - no cons. I'll post them a bit at a time... CFD #1, 1st Dawn and it completes my CFD run (1st printings, no variants tho):
