So with Tom Taylor's run showing the potential of a Dick-Barbara relationship.. we've had a few things pretty well explored in comics, and lots of others you can find pretty easily in fan fiction. If you were in charge, what would you do?

For me, it will always be Starfire... NTT was one of my first loves in comics, and it was just so.. good. I'm still mad at how the whole thing ended. Even more recent depictions (were Dick and Kori are like the 'parents' of the Titans in some of the DC cartoons' work really well. The whole 'opposites attract' thing I guess. they play off another really well.

"Someone Else" Betty Kane, of course, the original Bat-Girl. And I hope Hoosier X agrees with me! Yowza!

Barbara Gordon. I only liked Starfire in the context of the Titans. But in the larger DCU I feel Babs is the one. As far as Betty Kane I could see it happening on another earth where Bruce and Kathy retire and Dick and Betty take over as Batman & Batwoman.

Not exactly, but in the last installment of those stories ( Batman 163, the last one before the New Look arrived in that title), an older Betty Kane visits, still not in on the secret identities of Dick and Bruce, and in the course of the story, she becomes Batwoman II and saves the lives of Bruce, Dick and Bruce, Jr. (Robin II). And then this happens to close out the story arc... I think we know where that's headed.

I voted “no one”. I know Nightwing is a different persona but he’s the same man. So I say go solo.
I think that’s why Tim Drake is my favorite Robin because for the most part he went at it solo.

Detective Comics #322 has that great story where Batwoman is out of town and Batman gets turned into a genie and has to obey the generic Gotham City gangsters who transformed him, and Robin and Bat-Girl have to figure out how to stop him without any adults helping!
WHAT A TEAM-UP!!

In my DC universe, there is no Dick Grayson (at least not one with a costumed identity) or Wally West or Roy Harper or any other kid sidekicks. They are anathema to me.
Cei-U! I summon the truant officer!

Really??? Why? (IMO, of course) they are the far more interesting characters... the 'first' generation of DCs heros are sort of boring
