And it's Roh-DAY-Oh, not ROH-Dee-Oh.
Say it that way when you visit Amarillo and see what happens.
I will never visit Texas, let alone Amarillo.

Well pardners, I reckon this here cover might be the the one that our amigo EdoBosnar was alluding to in his mighty purdy introduction; featuring my favourite Superman owlhoot Terra-Man in all his glory. Action Comics #469 (DC, 1977, José Luis García-López) This was my first-ever superhero comic! My sister gave it to me as a Christmas or birthday present. Unfortunately, I missed the next issue, and didn't get to see the cliffhanger resolution until about 30 years later when I thought to find scans online.

I really wanted to use the 2nd issue of Phil Foglio's XXXenophile, but I didn't think the mods would appreciate it, and I couldn't find an edited version. Ah well, it was a bit of a stretch anyway. So instead, let's go with Boy's Ranch #3

And I live in Cheyenne, Wyoming, home of the 'World's Largest Outdoor Rodeo and Western Celebration' and it's always ROH-dee-oh. Roh-DAY-oh is a drive in California.

I wouldn't mind going to Austin sometime, for the music scene.

It don’t matter who’s in Austin, Bob Wills is still the King.

I doubt that's a genuine cover, unless comics were still selling for ten cents in the 70s.

Is that the same one that appeared in National Lampoon, or is it a different one with a similar theme? I didn't know it had been printed as a separate comic on its own. The NL one is one of Russ Heath's best works, IMO.
edit: never mind, I see that MDG already answered this question above. I wish it had been a full 20 or 30 page comic - or hell, an ongoing series!
