CrimebusterGlad to see the campaign going well. Not sure if you saw this, but it might have a confusing effect for some folks, there's a new Image title called Quest solicited in this month's catalog by one of the Luna brothers. It seems to be based on Southeast Asian mythology and due for an August release, but I hadn't seen or heard anything about it until the day after your Kickstarter launcned when I was browsing the catalog in Comics Hub. -M

I hadn't heard about that, but I don't think it affects my campaign much as the only people who know about it are people I'm telling myself.
I appreciate the heads up though. I may have to tweak the title for trademark reasons but Quest is generic enough that I'm not sure it can actually be trademarked since it's already part of so many comic titles.
It is annoying, but the same thing happened when I put out Crimebusters #1 -- nobody had used the character in over 20 years and then Antarctic announced a revival the same month my first issue hit Kickstarter. Not much uou can do about it!

I just backed the Mighty Kaw as well, a project cross-promoting with Quest. Crimebuster's character Vhess will appear in a print/poster with the Mighty Kaw for backers of both. This book is in the final day or two of its campaign. -M |

I think this one might come down to the last two days for funding. I'm still optimistic we'll fund, but I've had a lot of bad actors on this campaign skewing the figures so I don't really have an idea of where we actually stand. Besides the $550 scammer who I had removed form the campaign, I have another guy who has baked at a high level 3 different times and then cancelled a few hours later each time. I've also had several of my biggest backers cancel their pledges outright rather than simply downgrade to a cheaper tier. The result is that right now we're apparently at around $2200, and I have more than $1100 in cancelled pledges. If I lose the remaining larger backers that I have, I'm not sure we'll hit the funding goal after all.
I'm not entirely sure what's going on, but the last few months on Kickstarter have been significantly more volatile and difficult than the previous 3 1/2 years I've been on the platform. I'm going to keep at it, of course, because I love making comics, but running these campaigns is no fun at all right now.

We're in the final countdown now, less that 36 hours to go and it's coming down to the wire! Right now we're $276 short still, but I'm optimistic that the usual Kickstarter last day surge will happen and carry us over the line.

Still a few hours left so I'm hoping to push it a little further, but if not, I'm happy just to have it funded! I'm working hard to put the finishing touches on Quest #1 so I can send it to the printer. In the meantime, though, I just got the finished art for the regular cover for issue #2! This is by Rock Alves, homaging Alex Ross's cover for the 2019 Savage Sword of Conan #1. Colors by Adriel Dalla Vecchia. Hope you like it!  |

Digital rewards went out today!
Also, I've got the prints in hand, and the trading cards are en route right now. Additionally, the physical proof has been mailed from the printer, so we seem to be in good shape to have everything fulfilled on time!
