Pulp and the three Reckless OGN's by Brubaker and Phillips - Best team in comics Second Coming: Only Begotten Son - More quality satire by Mark Russell Black Hammer Reborn - Weak by Black Hammer standards, but still decent. Not All Robots - More excellent satire by Mark Russell Blacksad: They All Fall Down - Unfortunately only half the story. There was a new Blacksad story!? And I missed it!? Damn, I need to keep up, even just half a Blacksad story is better than probably half of what's out there. I'm actually in the process of convincing my wife that Blacksad would be a great name for our next cat. |

SO I am kind of devoting January to exploring recent Marvel books via Unlimited, and I just read a couple form 2021 that I really liked-Strange Academy by Young and Ramos and the new Defenders series by Ewing and Rodriguez. I am a couple months behind still due to the three month lag on MU (much better than the 6 months it used to be), but these are two (along with the current Moon Knight) series I will keep up with as this year progresses. I might even try to get the Defenders in print as I am loving the psychadelic artwork by Javier Rodriguez so far.

Strange Academy has been quite good... I was a bit concerned the Death event would derail or even end it, but doesn't seem like that's the case happily.
