Well just read DC Sneak Peek: Aquaman and Aquaman #41 and was really disappointed in the new tone and direction. While I'm willing to give the story itself a chance the darker vibe the art gives off is really a turn off. I'm also not a fan of the new costume design. Sad to see another of DC's most consistently good books take a nose dive in quality.

Sad to see another of DC's most consistently good books take a nose dive in quality. Not what I wanted to hear (or read, technically). Aquaman is the only DC book I get, so I'm not happy to hear that it's taken a turn for the worse. I'll give it a chance, but it already got one reprieve when they switched from Johns to Parker, and I'm not sure it will survive a second change in creative teams.

Finally picked up Aquaman #41 yesterday and gave it a read last night. The story wasn't bad, but I did not care much for the art. Not bad enough to drop from the pull list yet, so it lives to see another month.

Is it me or does Arthur's new look bear too much resemblance to the ACII from Aquaman: sword of Atlantis?

I picked up Aquaman Rebirth after dropping the last volume late in the run. I'm super happy the quality and tone has returned to this book and Dan Abnett has been writing some pretty interesting Aquaman stories.

Abnett has made it a great read and I'm looking forward to Stjepan Sejic working on the book.

I'm looking forward to Stjepan Sejic working on the book. Starting with the next issue right? I recently saw the image he did for Aquaman #27 with Mera on the cover and was blown away. It's amazing how much his artwork has improved in just the last few years.

Aquaman Rebirth has been great IMO. Also looking forward to the new artist.

I've also added it to my pulllist (same reason I'll be picking up Suicide Squad today: Sejic on art). Haven't read the issue yet, but I hope this has more success than Sejic's recent works, cause he deserves more and all of them were cancelled just a few issues in (excluding Sunstone, which is pretty damn successful). Now give him art and writing on Wonder Woman

Abnett is a solid performer.
Sejic has done a lot over at Top Cow, but I think what little I've seen of his work here on the Aquaman franchise is breathtaking.
I've liked Aquaman recently, but I think this team could be gold.
That Mera pic is incredible.

Recently came across some old scans from the previous volume. Paul Pelletier did some amazing under water scenes during his run. These images are from Aquaman #17 and #23 written by Geoff Johns.

I wasn't overly enthralled with the rebirth issue, but it seems like it's going pretty good... I may get a trade or an ebay lot. I do like Dan Abnett most of the time.

Just wanted to post a scan from the newest issue. While I think sometimes his colors can be bit too dark for my taste I still feel like the artwork is worth every penny. I'm not sure but I think he works completely digitally which for me makes him one of the few digital artists whose work still manages to be full of life and character.
