It's the same debate about Thor 229, because it had an advert for Hulk 181 in it, announcing the appearance of Wolverine. So prices of this issue and Daredevil 115 are moving up in price. Some stupid insane prices for those. I think Thor #229 was published after after DD #115, and both were published after Wolverine's first appearance in Incredible Hulk #180.

One of the safest 'speculation' bets....coming across a high-grade silver-age book of a popular character at a great price and snapping it up. There'll always be a market for high-grade silver age books and they are useful spares.
I'd rather invest in those than the new flavour of the month....

Well the discovery of X-Men #4 in my collection prompted me to start another wave of ebay auctions this afternoon. I expect two to sell for a nice chunk of change. The rest are more iffy, but these Wanda-related books are never going to be worth more than they are right now, so we'll see. www.ebay.com/sch/shaxper/m.html?item=193952195590&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562Really looking through my collection today, I realize I still have a ton of key books to sell that I'll wait on until the relevant films are released. Some very nice Black Panther, Black Widow/Taskmaster, Eternals, Moon Knight, and Master of Kung Fu stuff! And is Marvel going to get around to making a Deathlok show or movie?? Seems inevitable. I firmly believe we are in a new comic book bubble that will eventually burst, so I'm here to sell anything I can bear to part with while it's still hot!

Likely you could cover your wedding, honeymoon and with other hot issues a new roof if you are lucky!!!👍

Really disappointed that you’re not using the “Rozanski pricing model”...

Really disappointed that you’re not using the “Rozanski pricing model”... Triple the asking price and then have a 60% off sale? Hmmmmm...

I have X-Men #4 also, but I'm not selling. I bought my copy for 12 cents in 1964. It's tattered but complete, and I have every panel memorized.
I'm very fortunate to be in a position where I don't need the money I could make by selling it.

It's amazing to know you bought these 12c books off the stands 57 years ago and still have them.
Some of these collectors, who've owned their books all their lives have been passing them on to me...was fortunate with some late 50s/early 60s Archies recently, some I posted pics of in the purchases thread, some on the way and will post later.

I'm very fortunate to be in a position where I don't need the money I could make by selling it. I completely understand. That's why I'm not yet ready to sell my Fantastic Four #48-50, even with the five digit price that set is earning. Having that kind of relationship with a comic--or with anything, really--is special, and money has no part in that equation. Sell it to buy a new home, but you still don't have that comic in your life anymore the next day. But Silver Age X-Men? Very little emotional attachment for a diehard Claremont fan like myself.

My future step-son and I spent the evening sorting through my collection. We'll be shipping roughly 20 books off to CGC next week and have several dozen more I'm considering putting up on ebay raw. So many books worth so much more than I thought! It's so damn thrilling.
