Black Books is hilarious. My brother was watching it a few years ago, and I probably saw about half the episodes, just by stopping by the house. I would watch whatever episode he was watching and he would then go back and show me one or two more he thought was particularly funny. If I notice it on streaming, I will scroll through and try to find episodes I don’t remember seeing, and I usually watch an episode or two that I remember as being hilarious. Like the episode where Fran has a crush on the voice of the guy who does the shipping report on the radio. That cracks me up. I’ve that several times. How many seasons is it? If it’s three or less, I’ve probably most of them by now.
It is indeed three series of 6 episodes each.
Drink beverages at your own peril while watching these shows, unless you like to spew in mid-sip.
Father Ted is probably at the top of my list, but then again I'm not Catholic.
I’ve been watching Bottom, which I find absolutely hilarious. I started the third season last night.

Father Ted is probably at the top of my list, but then again I'm not Catholic. For my money, Farther Ted is much, much funnier than Black Books. Mrs. Brown's Boys, on the other hand, is absolutely dire. Sorry TP, but I find it utterly uninspired and unfunny. Just awful cr*p.

I completely get where you're coming from, but within a different genre of shows. I guess I'm just easier to please when it comes to BritCom.
For example, I had a couple of friends who loved Cadfael, and tried to get me engaged in it. Although I like Derek Jacobi as an actor, and I appreciate his work in other Tele and Film ventures, the Cadfael series was a total snooze-fest for me. When it comes to detective/crime/mystery, give me Hamish MacBeth or Taggart instead. I actually got started on the Hamish books before the series ever came out, and the TV series did not disappoint me-- just as quirky as the books. Taggart has always been pretty straightforward crime drama, but in that sense, it is fairly reliable in the entertainment department.

But I also would be more than happy to own a bookstore, but not actually sell anything. I've not seen Mrs. Brown's Boys.

I may be in for this Sunday. Hell, I'm in for Super Bowl Sunday... all I ever do is watch the Puppy Bowl anyway.

A solid "maybe" for me. I'm transitioning between caregivers this weekend so if there's a snag, I may not make it.
Cei-U! I summon the handover!

Wife is having her C5-C6 disc replaced on Friday. Not sure if I'll be available at all this weekend.
Have fun if I can't make it.. you usually do anyway.
