I thought this was going to be an event with evil versions of the heroes who all have "Dark" before their names. There was never any suggestion of that.

It's been a year but it's out now...and it's about as bad as I expected. That said, I do dig the steam punk Iron man teased at the end, I won't actually be picking up the next issue to see who it is under the armor as it looked like Tony died but it's a neat design. Got my hands on issue 1 & 2. . it's not great. (mainly because I'm NOT a fan of whom the main villain is. . hated the focus on him back in the 80-90s when was picking up X-factor).
also not a fan of the "let's kill lots of main characters. . it will be shocking". . so for certain not in continuity.
that said? I'm reading them for free, so it's not like I'm paying that $5 an issue for it.
and I will give Marvel kudos. . in that the images/story that's in the FCBD issue are NOT in this book. Yes, the mini explains why what happened in the FCBD issue happened. . but they don't reference it, or show it. (the FCBD story happened concurrent with the events in issue 1 of the mini-series).
so . . . not great, but better than I expected.
and the art was nice.
Yeah, I didn't care for the story or the general brutality but the art was undeniably great.
