How did I even get this hardback with the first seven issues of this series? It's on my shelf, but I don't remember buying it. Probably picked it up cheap at McKay's on the strength of the creative team's name. It's a space opera about a family on the run from a sadistic dictator. Basically Saga without the marital wisdom, witty banter, or memorable character designs. Also without the breakneck pacing and nonstop high-concepts that characterized Mark Millar under Grant Morrison's tutelage. So writing-wise, it's a solid B-. The art is another story. Stuart Immomen turns in a spectacular range of vistas from spaceship graveyards to crystalline cities. Abetted by inker Wade von Grawbadget and colorist Ive Svorgina, he never fails to disappoint, whether for an arena with T-rex riding gladiators: Or a teenage girl sulking her way through the rain. These seven issues are called "Book One," but no "Book Two" has emerged. I suspected that this series existed mainly to create intellectual property for cinema, and sure enough, it's already in film development. I'm a little puzzled how they'll pull that off, since the comic book is nonstop space action, expensive on the big screen. They'll have to fill out the story with a whole lot of character moments to make it work. Anyway, check this out if you want some pretty Immomen art.

I think I have this somewhere too... I remember it being pretty but light on story, and thinking it would be good if it continued... looks like it never did.
I'm assuming since it got option in 2016, its probably not actually going to be a movie.
