Not a cover, but I thought I'd share this:

He was nice enough to chain spider-girl in an S and M pose before he did it. A good number of the early Spider-Woman covers had her tied up. I know that #4, #6, and this one (#8) all did, just off the top of my head, which is pretty bad since she was the heroine of the story and supposedly a superhero. You can type "Spider-Woman bondage" into the search field on eBay and come up with at least one, if not all, of those issues at any given time. And people were shocked by Manara cover!

Huh ... society will never cease to amaze me. Anyway, I wouldn't buy the cover because, after a google image search, I don't think it's done as well as his others. From someone that did this picture, the Spiderwoman, Gamorra and the Storm that came up in the image search don't seem up to the task.

So many good choices, but my vote goes to Mars with one of my favorite issues from my youth...

Scott Harris for a classic damsel in distress cover. Wings had some amazing covers.

Out of many great entries, I will go with Ish Kabbible and that poor German puppy.

Wicked tough choice, as we say up here, but I'm going with Ish. The aerial view, the pathos, the puppy. Honorable Mention to Pharozonk. Another I thought of (though not quite freefall):

Icctrombone for a classic damsel in distress cover. Wings had some amazing covers. As much as I love seeing my name posted, the cover with a damsel in distress belongs to someone else.

It was between Scott Harris, mrp , DE Sinclair and the winner for me this week- Richard Bishop. The shear impossibility of him chaining her up to his back in a S/M pose made it goofy enough for the win.

My apologies to you and Scott Harris. In a hurry to post before I went out, I glanced back through the pages and saw the post where you had quoted Scott's original post and thought you had posted it. Fixed now.

I noticed this at the time as a teen-ager and the obvious intentionality of it creeped me out. I was thinking "Really guys? This is going to be her theme??"
