Why is there a Thanos story by Zeck as a back-up in an issue of a series adapting a sci-fi movie?? No idea but it made it pricey.

Do the rest of the issues of Logan's run have backup stories? Never read the run so I don't know...have always wanted this ish just to add to my Thanos stuff from this era. Plus, I love Zeck.

Dont know about the other issues since I don’t own them, but the Thanos story is one of my favorites. Not even the Zeck art (though I do like his art a lot) it’s just a really good short story with Thanos and Drax.

I never saw this movie although it's a cult classic. Is it any good ?
It's been a guilty pleasure of mine since I first saw it late-night on cable's USA in the late 90s. I just had to get the recent 40th Anniversary Steelbook Blu-ray/DVD set. Hands down, one of the best and the most iconic gangster movies of all time. But if you watch it, try to get the original theatrical version...the director's cut with the silly comic book interludes kinda ruins it.

Never knew that this existed! I love this film.
"Warriors... come out to play-yay!"
Looks like this....there's one more cover, the #1 on-line variant which features Cleon...I found out about that one after I got this set below so it's in another pic.

Ah, so the series jumped publishers-- from Dabel to Dynamite. Good to know, I gotta put these on my list. Thanks!

Ah, so the series jumped publishers-- from Dabel to Dynamite. Good to know, I gotta put these on my list. Thanks! A couple of series did that as Dabel ran out of money. The Dresden Files books are another that did that, as did the adaptations of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. Dabel was supposed to do the George RR Martin A Song of Fire and Ice stuff too, but only put out a new edition of the Hedge Knight tpb before folding, and Dynamite took over the license and did the Game of Thrones comics. I think Dabel spent too much money chasing licenses and didn't have the sales to warrant those expenses and maintain their cash flow, and Dynamite came in and swooped up a bunch of their licenses like a vulture. -M

I think #1 had a circulation below 7,000 copies...
The TPB is also extremely scarce, last two copies I saw on ebay were between $79.95 and almost $120.00

Farrar. One of my all-time favorite covers, so why it didn’t come to mind immediately when I was thinking of entries both annoys and shames me.
