Never heard a white rapper I really liked. I've never bought or read a Valiant comic (nothing personal though). Never eaten an eel, jellied or otherwise. Never accepted offers of lines of that white stuff from Colombia, Nancy Reagan knew! I've not been east of Montreal, nor kissed a cod in the Maritimes. Never had a dream with Wally Gator, Sqiddley Diddley or Secret Squirrel in, but I did see Snorky and Drooper from The Banana Splits once.

There are even rumours that future car models won't have a handbrake. I want the handbrake. I need to feel it. Plus, I don't want everything to be controlled by sensors. I don't want everything to be digital. Too much technology!

My BF had a newer Volvo but went back to an older one even if it seems to have more issues at times, because the newer one had all kinds of computerized stuff. Even the sunroof was involved I think. I'd be pretty easily distracted myself if some GPS thing popped up and started talking or sensors started flashing... I'd be in panic mode/red alert/a warp factor seven Sulu get me outta here state. I have used computers off and on since the early '80s... but do not want everything in life to be involving them!

I've been in cars with too many sensors. One was automatic/manual transmission, but whenever you switched, the sensors had a "tantrum".
Less is more. As a kid, I would see people tinkering with cars on a Sunday. Nowadays you have to take it to a garage and have a diagnostics tablet hooked up to it.
The usual geniuses talk about getting rid of the handbrake, indicators, etc. And having everything touchscreen. Because what the world needs is more people looking at a dashboard than the road. Great going, Einsteins!

Great going, Einsteins! Ah, but look at it from the makers' point of view... Why have a gizmo that does the job properly, is easily repaired/replaced and doesn't break that often anyway, when you can have a gizmo that does the job a smidgen better, can be repaired only by an expert with specialized equipment, costs an arm and a leg and is easily rendered inoperative? There's much more profit to be made with the latter. Yes, I'm looking at you, car keys, electric windows and trunks that don't have a keyhole.

"...and forsooth, Fred and Wilma Flintstone begat Pebbles Flintstone, and verily didst Bam-Bam and Pebbles Rubble begat..."

Corporations won't be happy until every human owns a £50 digital toenail clipper. You can't release the mechanism to cut your own toenails as sensors are detecting an "issue". So you'll take it the store to repair it for £50 or more. Electric windows, eh? Grrrr! Give me window rollers again...

Never seen a single Michael Bay movie. I rented The Island once, but never got around to watching it. My obliviousness to his oeuvre has since become a source of pride.

...watched a Fast and Furious movie; ...drunk Jack Daniel's; ...driven a Chevrolet; ...hunted; ...used recreational drugs; I'm with you on these, plus I've never seen any of the Alien movies or the Rambo movies or Schindler's List.
