This is the event for spring , at least as of now for spring that will lead us into the new timelines.

That was speculation by Rich Johnston back in October, and nothing since then has corroborated his speculation about Convergence II. You have to take anything on Bleeding Cool with a grain of salt until you get actual corroboration form someplace that isn't using BC as their source. Every once in a while Rich's scoops pan out, but more often than not they are simply clickbat to get hits on his page so he can charge more for advertisers.

He was right about the original convergence, he even leaked the name if I recall correctly.

You know, I often defend DC from detractors who say that they reboot almost ever other year...
Did the original Convergence even do all that well?

I'll admit I got sucked into Convergence.. the main story didn't do much, but those two issue minis from all different times were fun. I'd be ok if DC abandoned trying to have an actual continuity and just went with that at this point.

Jeff Parker's issue of Shazam was masterful, the rest didn't interest me. I'd read the issues didn't do well so I'm surprised they're bothering to do a take two.

If they do something, I don't think it will be Convergence 2 as in a follow up to Convergence, but it may be Convergence-like in that it is something that will fill a publishing gap while they make a transition, the way Convergence filled the gap created by the move to Burbank and the ensuing editorial shuffle.
If I had to speculate, I would say that the rumblings of a Dark Metal sequel by Snyder & Capullo (rumored title: Death Metal) set for the spring would be the most likely center-point for some-kind of stopgap publishing initiative to fill a couple of months gap while they transitioned the main line of books since they have already started doing a number of Dark Metal inspired takes on classic DC events as one-shots and such, and they have sold relatively well in comparison.
Or if the result is going to be 5G as the main line with other time periods as offshoots, the gap could be filled with explorations of those other generations, a look at Wonder Woman when she debuted in WWI (as rumored) or Earth 1985 or whatever. So while it's function may be Convergence like, I don't think they are doing a follow up to Convergence and Convergence2 is just a clickbait title Rich Johnston came up with.

Didio addressed comic retailers on facebook this afternoon and addressed the BC rumors about Convergence 2 without naming BC or Convergence 2...
he followed up by saying...
So I would doubt any of those major tentpoles would appear before April when he takes the road to promote them.

So I would doubt any of those major tentpoles would appear before April when he takes the road to promote them. -M I take everything Rick says with a fistfull of salt but he does get it right fairly often...on the other hand Didio almost always lies when confronted by leaks, and not like, "I can neither confirm or deny any rumors about future events" type of lies but laughably bad denials. I can get wanting to hype an event on your own at a time of your choosing but if the cats out of the bag its out of the bag.
