In addition to the best of the decade (see other thread) Comic Beat Compiled their best of 2019 list... hereLots of interesting choices (Usagi made the list!!!) but a lot I haven't had a chance to check out yet. I'll have to see what of them are available via hoopla to check out and see which should wind up in my library eventually. Usagi Yojimbo, Criminal, House of X/Powers of X and Conan the Barbarian are the only titles on the list I was picking up regularly. -M

I am by no means a professional comic critic(or even an amateur who tries), but here is my list of my top comics of 2019 in no particular order (granted I haven't read all that much of a spectrum of new comics this year and my pile of unread new comics is pretty big so things could change as I get to them). Some only had an issue or two released, so I am listing them based on the promise of those issues rather than the finished story/series. The dozen titles/series that make my list are:
-Gideon Falls by Lemire & Sorrentino (Image)
-Folklords by Kindt & Smith (BOOM!)
-Gogor by Garing (Image)
-Criminal by Brubaker & Phillips (Image)
-Invisible Kingdom by Wilson & Ward (Dark Horse/Berger Books)
-Superman Smashes the Klan by Yang and Gurihiru (DC)
-Die by Gillen and Hans (Image)
-The Question: The Deaths of Vic Sage by Lemire, Cowan & Sienkewicz (DC Black Label)
-Under the Moon: A Catwoman Tale by Myracle & Goodhart (DC Ink)
-Teen Titans: Raven by Garcia & Piccolo (DC Ink)
-Something is Killing the Children by Tynion IV and Dell'Edera (BOOM!)
-At The Mountains of Madness Vol. 1 by Tanabe (Dark Horse)
