This is just a few months ago, at a really cool natural food store/restaurant with an 80's themed room. This is a selfie I took in front of one of the displays there. It's not a good picture, but it's just about the most recent picture I've got.  This is from just a few years ago, and it's not a great picture either, but hey, I'm wearing a Wolverine shirt and Batman pajamas, so it's highly appropriate for here.  This is me in Bangladesh about 16 years ago, visiting my soon-to-be wife.  Finally, this me in Death Valley, also 16 years ago.  |

Thanks, dbutler69 for contributing! While I understand reluctance of some folks to post pics of themselves, it's always nice to put a face to a name. Great pics! I don't do facebook or instagram, and if you ever happen to run across a pic of me on one of those platforms, chances are it's a pic of one of my bands with me being tagged in a group shot. |

codystarbuck not only was it all 3 (and supposedly the B-52's last tour. . but that didn't matter, since we bought our tix for Berlin), *but*. . it's the "real" Berlin. . with almost all of the original group back together! (and touring on a great new, at the time, CD: "Transcendance") yes. . . John Crawford is back with the band, as is David Diamond, and on the new CD. I hadn't noticed John onstage, since was focused on how AMAZING Terri still looks. . .and they broke out "Sex" - with his vocals and I nearly pissed myself!

Just think, if history had been different, Terri Nunn could have been calling people scruffy-looking nerfherders and Carrie Fisher might have been singing about soldiers sleeping next to her, riding on the Metro..... Always wanted to meet the B-52 and ask them about their days in Athens, GA. The US Navy sent me there for school, for 6 months, after I received my commission (US Navy Supply Corps School used to be there). We used to grab lunch at Allen's Bar, mentioned in "Deadbeat Club." Sliders and beer mugs kept in a freezer! We'd invite our afternoon instructors and hope they got a bit mellow and would cut class short. Usually worked. |

Never understood why Fred Schneider represented the B-52s on a RuPaul talk show, on the subject of camp......  Fun show, too (RuPaul's talk show on VH1, back in the 90s), with Debbie Harry, John Waters, Fred, and some other guy who escapes me. They all brought examples of camp and Waters told a story about his, before unveiling it. He was at a theater with friends, to see a film and one of them remarked, Oh, look; RuPaul has a movie coming out..." Then Waters unrolled the poster for this....   Too bad it wasn't the case; would have greatly improved that film. |

I lost my pictures of our meeting, so I messaged Confessor for his copies. This is the time a few years ago when our own Confessor and his lovely wife came to the US. We met in New Jersey and had a blast.   Thank god he didn't come wearing a green rabbit suit... |
