Does anyone know where Bendis is going to land , as far as what he's writing next ? As far as I know, no announcements have been made, but he has been dropping hints on Twitter. I don't have Twitter and I have only seen some hearsay speculations based on those hints, but I have no idea what he is going to do. -M

He was the big catch a few years ago, I wonder if he’s getting the axe.

He was the big catch a few years ago, I wonder if he’s getting the axe. He's still on Legion. He still has the Jinx imprint of his creator-owned stuff. And there is supposed to be a second season of Naomi. His hints were that he is getting a "big" DC book. Speculation is everything from Detective Comics to Justice League. With the reduction of the print line, the move towards more digital content (several digital first series have been announced including Superman, Shazam, Batman and Wonder Woman series and they announced there would be exclusive series available only on the DC Universe Infinite series starting in January) and the new leadership in place, it seems DC is moving in new directions. There seems to be a move away form "star creators" with big contracts, but I don't know if they are willing to make the payoffs to terminate existing contracts early. I doubt Bendis will have his contract renewed under current terms, but I'd guess he will get work until his current contract expires. -M

DC has delayed/pushed back a number of collected editions that were originally due to be released in late 2020 and early 2021 until late 2021 and into 2022. These include the following:
If you were waiting for any of these books, you're going to be waiting a lot longer.

Marvel just announced that they are lessening the lag between the release date of printed books and their availability on Marvel Unlimited. Previously books were available on Unlimited 6 months after they were published. Moving forward, the gap will only be three months.
This follows DC announcement previously that with the revamp of DC Universe into a comics only platform, they will lessen their gap from one year to 6 months after publication.

DC seems to be experimenting with anthologies, and better yet for dealers; they'll be fully returnable.

Found while surfing the internet: coming out November 6th is Bram Stoker's Dracula: starring Bela Lugosi! Legendary.com has it up for order. The worked with the Lugosi family to get the rights in making a new comic book graphic novel. It will properly adapt the original Stoker novel with using Bela Lugosi's likeness to be Dracula.
This looks VERY interesting and sounds cool as all Helloween! Hardback adaption listing for $29.99.

I do wonder about their criteria for original graphic novel: this is an adaption of a prose short story Gaiman did years ago. I think the criteria only are to exclude collections of single issues in trade form as orignal graphic novels?

As long as the material in comic form is new, and not a collection, it qualifies as an OGN. -M

She has a movie coming up eventually, but is Black Widow still dead in Marvel's current comic continuity? Her Wikipedia page mentions the usual nonsense about her being killed in a big event and having been replaced by a clone and whatnot. (But then again, since she's dead in the MCU, perhaps that's seen as consistency by the PTB).

They now have two different technologies to bring people back to life (Tony Stark has one he used, that he says he can use one people 1 time, but that could change) and the X-Men have their group that can apparently bring any mutant back, so if she is dead, it won't be for long.

I've seen Black Widow around since then in some titles and she seemed to be exactly the same as before with the memories she had and all, so if she's a clone, I guess this one of those things that is/has already been forgotten and will never be mentioned again unless you get a writer obsessed with continuity that will write a comic that will explain all of the continuity errors and it will be terrible.
