If Denny O'Neil was stepping out of retirement to write this, I'd say, 'oh, yeah!' Otherwise, hard pass.

Adams is a terrible writer at this point in his career. And I really don't care for the way his art has evolved with new technology.

I find Adams' recent output fascinating as neo-Dada anti-art. If it sounds wacky enough, I'll check it out.

Adams is a terrible writer at this point in his career. (...) ... Has his writing ever been anything but? I remember when Ms. Mystic came out in the early '80s, I thought that it would have been better if it had been released as a picture book, without any dialogue or captions. And then there's the infamous Skate Man, which can only be, erm, appreciated if - as per Duragizer - it's read as a sort of experiment in Dadaist writing...

He did some okay writing on Deadman and Spectre back in the late 60s. Nothing world-shaking but okay.

Saw this with Ra's al Ghul.
Adams pencils are still great but I wish someone else would ink him, and his writing, and especially dialogue, are the worst !
Waited for and picked up the collected Batman : Odyssey thinking it couldn't possibly be that bad, and about halfway through I gave up. Some of the worst of the worst.

I know I've read them somewhere a long time ago in reprints and either forgot or just never registered that Adams scripted a few of them. I guess they are pretty solid. Too bad the same can't be said about anything he's scripted since, roughly, 1969.

It was absolutely worse.
