The Comic Beat is discussing rumors that Marvel could be considering moving its offices from New York to the west coast. The Beat usually avoids publishing rumors (that's more Bleeding Cool territory) but this one keeps rearing up its head in several places and people are talking about it, so they decided to talk about people talking about it. Marvel seems to have denied this is happening, but the upcoming launch of the Disney streaming service and the desire to have Marvel content for it may have a ripple effect of making significant changes to the structure of the publishing division in NY. It would be a huge paradigm shift for the industry if both DC and Marvel left NY for the west coast, as so much of NYC is ingrained in the identity of the comic industry as it has developed.
