thanks wildfire2099! I went down the rabbit hole yesterday trying to figure it all out--I didn't know that Madelyne turned out to be a Jean clone, etc. My head was spinning, haha! Also read that Cable was not originally intended to be Nathan Summers.

Also read that Cable was not originally intended to be Nathan Summers. No problem... I'd highly recommend that Cable series.. it's pretty short (3, maybe 4 trades), and really entertaining. Bishop is far better as a psycho bad guy than he ever was as a hero.

Worse than James Robinson? I am dubious. I agree with Slam (though I didn't get the issue)... Johns is horrid. I don't always remember who writes what, so I was going to check on what Johns wrote. But I forgot all about it. But it came up again. I got a library card to the Pomona library and I just quickly grabbed a couple of fairly recent trades to have something to look through this week. One of them was Jane Foster Thor and she has cancer. (I haven't read more then the first few pages.) The other was New 52 Justice League. The origin. 1# to #6. I read the first two issues and I thought "This is bad. I think the JLA movie was loosely based on this instead of using some good JLA stories from the team's 50-year history. I wonder who wrote it?" Geoff Johns. Yeah, he's pretty bad. But he's still not as bad as James Robinson for the last three or four years.

I was looking at his credits and it looks like I've missed the comic book material that he's most famous for. But I could hardly miss his producing credits for the Batman vs. Superman and Justice League movies. Batman vs. Superman was awful and Justice League was … not quite as awful.

At Marvel I liked his runs on All New Invaders and Fantastic Four.

I liked what he did with the The Shade. Otherwise I found Robinson's Starman to be better than readable, but over-rated.
