Comics which I might have been willing to follow as affordable quickly are put aside when they are becoming more expensive. 2+ hour DVD of movie and extra's, 3-4 hours reading of a novel versus 5 minutes of a comic book. You can do the math Indeed. It's not like you even get a complete story nowadays. That makes it even harder on the wallet. That is a major complaint of mine. With the 5 splash pages per book? Story telling sucks. You get 4 pages of story per book.

As a consumer I like the choice of variant covers. Overprinting product that there's no demand for because comic companies are creating false scarcity is a classic bubble mentality and is probably going to destroy the mainstream comics industry, of course, but as a consumer i like them.
