Sunday morning surprise... My wife returned form her Sunday morning shopping trip (usually Kroger's, Keijers & Wal*Mart for groceries and sundries for the house each week) with this little surprise for me from the shelves of Wallyworld... the Nanometals minifigs Batcave playset that comes with exclusive Batman & Robin figures This will have to wait until the remodel of the comic room is done to get cracked open and set up, but it looks cool in the packaging for now. -M

Not too long ago since last month at the comic book shop that I go to once in awhile here and there I found these still in their packaging
Star Trek Next Generation Enterprise bridge Beetlejuice figures including Adam. They were 11 bucks a piece which wasnt too bad.
old C.O.P.s figures still in their cards showng off in a glass cabinet. They were a bit spendy at 40 bucks. old He Man stuff from the Land Shark to Battle Bones at 20 bucks. Not too bad i guess but still a little spendy for an old vehicle like the Land Shark which was a personal favorite of mine back in the day

Went to the Bell, Book and Comic's annual warehouse sale today and in addition to my $30 short box full of comics I picked up some original sketch cards from local artist Adam Fields. He was running a special on the sketch cards for 42 each, so I got three... Ghost Rider... Baron Karza... and Dr. Fate... I also picked up a larger sketch of the Creature form Creature from the Black Lagoon he had in his protfolio to round it out to an even $10 (I'll have to get a pic on that later, Adam posted the sketch card pics to his FB page so I got them form there for now. I still have to go through my short box and sort out what all I got-I know I stuck a bunch of issues of DHP, Cheval Noir and Dark Horse comics, the complete run of the DH Tarzan series, plus some other miscellaneous stuff. -M

Going to use it for my 1.5 inch Diaclone pilots. Thanks for sharing! I didn't even know these existed.

I recently acquired a pickup truck that's just about 6" scale. After a little dremel work larger 1/12 figures can easily fit in the seats, but smaller 1/12 figures like ML Wolverine can fit without any modification. I'm planning to repaint it, but this is a really nice vehicle even with no mods. I had heard through the grapevine that Five Below had some Marvel Legends figures for $5 each, so stopped at the one here in town, and they did, but not the ones I had heard and was interested in, they only had the Mockingbord fig. But they did have a bunch of other cool stuff, so I picked up some stuff... They had some of the Marvel Playmation pieces, the discontinued Disney interactive game, I don't have the game, but the pieces are nice little sculpted figures. They had 6 or 7 options, but I only got three... Black Widow, Vision and Ultron... they also had some of the Marvel Infinity line, but the only one I was interested in was Beta Ray Bill... I got some DC stuff too.. A Multiverse Wonder Woman figure based on the Gal Gadot look in the movie and bendy figures of Flash & Wonder Woman based on Darwyn Cooke's New Frontier designs... I also got a funky cool Justice League sticker book... the stickers inside reminded me of the sticker ads I used to see in Bronze Age comics... Everything here was $5 or under. I also stopped at the Dollar Tree as I had also heard through the grapevine they had mini-busts of Marvel characters, and they did, but mini didn't start to describe it. They were tiny. I also got some other tsotchke while there, since everything was a buck. The Maleficent figure and the Last Jedi cards were for my wife... I couldn't pass up something called a sticky icky featuring Captain America! -M
