you may have answered this before, Dragon. .but how the heck do you afford all of these? I balk at $20+ for an action figure. . so I've bought VERY few in recent years (the main exceptions being Poison Ivy or the Metal Men). I'm impressed as hell at your collection, but my wallet hurts every time I see an update here

I had a gift card for my LCS yesterday, so I picked up the Jim Gordon and Selina Kyle Gotham figures for the connecting alleyway diorama. It works really well for a BTAS display. The Gordon figure will be used as a random bad guy, probably. Also, the Batman/Phantasm two pack I ordered arrived yesterday! They're both pretty cool.

I leave myself a sixty to eighty dollar window in a given week's budeget for miscellaneous expenditures.. sometimes those budgetary windows overlap. (It helps when DC Collectibles releases get delayed several weeks as we are seeing right now.I usually wait until Saturday Night/Sunday morning before I commit to the more expensive purchases also I may have mentioned that during the summer I spend my off days at Great Adventure...Well during these days I can actually avoid spending money as I carry a season Pass and with the exception of a Extra-sized Snickers i don't really BUY anything. this budgetary discipline occassionally affords me the opportunity to splurge (as i just did buying the Golden Age Wonder Woman Archives Volume 1 and Doom Patrol Archives Volume 1 on Ebay as well as the DC Direct Pocket Heroes JLA Box Set. (Coming soon.) In the Meantime I picked up DC Direct's Pocket Heroes Batman Box Set (I'm really more partial to the original Mego Pocket and Comic Action Heroes figures but I might as well add another set to the "evolution" This of course, allowed me to complete my Teen Titans Silver Age team.... as well as allowing me the opportunity to put together most of the Justice League: A New Beginning Cast anyway...in addition to the Batman set, I also managed to pick up the Multiverse BvS Aquaman figure at Target... Completing the Four Cosmic Legends of the Universe (As they were described in the opening to the First season of Super Friends) And I have to say that Jason Momoa's Aquaman looks pretty good next to the Peter David Based Hook-Hand Aquamen... (Proving once again that Aquaman didn't need Geoff Johns to become cool!) I really wish DC Direct had done Pocket heroes of Booster Gold and Blue Beetle along With Doctor Light and Crimson Fox and of Course...Mr. Miracle and Big Barda

Thank goodness for tax refund money. Using a piece of it, I acquired a 1/60 Yamato YF-19. The box is in very good shape and the complete intact fighter is finely detailed, LOVE it.
The wife wasn't all that thrilled but she relented after she asked about him and then showing her the tiny Isamu pilot figure that came with it. (So cool)

My Mezco Spock just showed up! I've only had a few minutes to pose him so far, but he seems just as great as the other One:12 figures. I'll post a few pictures when I have more time later.

ICCtrombone had posted that he picked up the Avengers car in this set a while ago from wal*Mart, but I had never seen them around here. Today, they had it, and the other 7 cars form the set, so I picked them up... I couldn't resist the Golden Age, Avengers, and Steranko art, or the Red Skull art on car #8, so since I was getting half the set, I just plunked down for all 8, they were only $0.94 each. From the same Civil War display, I also picked up a plush Cap's shield pillow... -M

It's such an odd concept that I've been tempted to buy it just for the absurdity factor. Control over all time, matter, and reality? Check. Transportation on the weekend? Better get some wheels.

We took a trip over to Columbus today, and I tried out a vintage toy store I had never been to before called Big Fun a block or two over form the convention center. Looked through a lot of vintage stuff-Micronauts, Battlestar, Buck Rogers, etc. but didn't pull the trigger on any of them, but I did pick up a few things while there... Mint on Card Total Justice Hawkman to add to my Hawkman collection, a loose Space Ghost figure, and a Deep One from the Legend of Cthulhu line, produced by a new start up company that crowdfunded through Kickstarter. I didn't discover the Kickstarter until it was already funded and done, but thought they looked cool, so when I saw the 4 figures at the shop decided to pick one up. Had to choose between the Spawn of Cthulhu and Deep One, and went for the Deep One. Here's a closer look... It's a great little store, extremely friendly and helpful staff, and a great selection of stuff. I am now on their will call list if they get a Baron Karza in.... -M

The Deep One figure is cool! I was vaguely aware of that Kickstarter, but I hadn't seen any of the figures before that one.
