A pilot episode of a war series in ALL AMERICAN MEN OF WAR #74 (October, 1959): The Minute Commandos by Kanigher, Andru, and Esposito: The final panel urges readers to write in if they want to see more adventures of these miniaturized military men, but they never reappeared.

MWGallaher , Bob Haney did a story about a year later in SSWS 93 that was an inversion of Kanigher's, though the cover resembled AAMW 74 in that the soldiers seem small and the German a giant on both covers.

A new Alex Toth in depth is up...
it's a draw and jaw ep, so Fricke is working on a Toth portrait sketch while discussing art and criticism, how to take it, how to give it, and how Toth was his harshest critic.

I had those artist self-portraits, from 1969 or 1970, by Kirby, J. Buscema, Romita, Steranko, Colan, and Trimpe. I thought Buscema's portrait was the best--I liked his intense look and I loved the goatee. Earlier there was this in 1968's Avengers Annual #2 (he also drew Roy T., shown here) J. Buscema as shown in 1969's Fantastic Four Annual #7
