They actually have some new material, introduced new characters, and I can't even get any because there are no walmarts in NYC. I think the combination is going to create books with serious collectablilty qualities and future value.

^ I haven't seen that yet. I've gotten the first 4 issues of all 4 series plus the Halloween Special so far. I'll have to keep my out for the holiday special though.

I struck out at Wal-Mart today but I've come to expect that from the one just down the street.

The concept is great, the execution of it has been a spectacular flop. I have 7 Walmarts I can visit between my area at home (with 3) and work (4) and you cannot find these 100 page comics at all. 3 of the stores I could actually find issues 2 or 3 months ago but absolutely NOTHING since then. Phoenix is one of the largest cities in the USA and if you include all of the surrounding cities that makes for a BIG sales base. If the idea is for a customer to do impulse buying and/or to attract attention of new readers then DC can consider this an epic failure.

Phoenix is one of the largest cities in the USA and if you include all of the surrounding cities that makes for a BIG sales base. If the idea is for a customer to do impulse buying and/or to attract attention of new readers then DC can consider this an epic failure. Our local Walmarts were doing a reset of the self checkout areas when these launched and the first 2 issues were hard to find, but since the reset was finished and the little collectobles aisle was set up next to the self-checkout area, I have found all of every issue easily since #3. We've stopped at several other Wallyworlds in the Dayton and Columbus areas and again distribution for #1 and 2 was spotty, but since issues 3 I have seen every issue of every title at all of them. Most have the current issue and the previous 2 issues available. Now, that aisle is one of those merchandised by an outside vendor who comes in and stocks that aisle rather than by Wal MArt itself, so it may be a factor of the vendor in your region not doing their job well rather than Wal Mart itself as to why you aren't seeing them. -M

Amongst the sea of Holiday and Swamp Thing Special's, I finally found the #5's today.
But I went to my reliable go-to Wally World.

Looks like DC is changing up the line up on the DC 100 Page Giants. Batman and Superman will continue. Justice League will be replaced by a new Wonder Woman 100 age Giant, Teen Titans will become Titans, and Flash and Swamp Thing titles will be added. -M

and now Target jumps in with an all-new content Primal Age DC 100 Page Giant based on Funko's line of retro-style barbarian DC characters.
an easy pass for me but I can see where it would work for kids
Contributors are pretty impressive with work from Marv Wolfman, Scott Koblish, Jerry Ordway, Louise Simonson, Phil Winslade, Brent Anderson, Chuck Patton, Karl Kesel, Tom Derenick, Keith Pollard and Jose Marzan Jr
