Voting for this category has concluded. The results are as follows: Nominated and Seconded:codystarbuckbrutalisReptisaurus!sabongero@mechagodzilla (sabongero will need to update his rationale to include discussions that fit the time frame of this event) _____________________________________________________________________________________ The original post: (See the Advance Warning before participating) Nominations for The Professor X Award (Best Discussion Starter)1. Please post no more than one nomination for a member who you feel started the best discussions in our third year of the CCF (between April 30th, 2017 at 9:22pm EST and April 30, 2018 at 9:21pm EST). 2. You must explain why you are nominating this person. 3. Please second no more than one nomination made by another member. You may not second your own nomination. 4. Any member receiving both a nomination and a second will be included in the final ballot for this award on July 1st. 5. Nominations and Seconds for this round conclude on June 18th. 6. Absolutely NO negative talk about another member, nor another member's nomination. The very purpose of this event is to salute our members for all they contribute to this community. Though only one member will ultimately receive this award, you have the potential to thank and maybe touch any member you choose to nominate or second. Please don't use this opportunity to hurt or deflate someone. So start your nominating!

I'll nominate codystarbuck for the Professor X award. He has started a number of discussions that explore the breadth of what comics have to offer, and brings a perspective to those discussions that is intelligent and articulate, providing fodder for some of the best discourses this site has to offer. -M

I nominate brutalis for the PX award the year. He started, among other threads, Remember when: comic book Remembrances, How the west was fun and Collecting Comics: how the world changes.

rberman started so many threads the past year that I really enjoyed. Mostly on topics & comics that weren't things I was normally interested in. It gave me new appreciation for some things I ignored (like X-Men) and broadened my knowledge on things I wanted to try (like Astro City).

We have a separate award for that 😉

I nominate sabongero for his reviews and other interesting threads. He's reviewing some series that I've already enjoyed and am glad to revisit the as he posts new reviews. His "Post a comic issue & type a sentence premise about the issue" is one of the most fun threads this site has seen in awhile.

I would like to nominate sabongero, for his insights on Various Marvel Comics Reviews, Animal Man (my favorite), The Flash, Various DC Comics, and much, much more -- he really pours it on and I've valued his understanding and he often comments on my posts of which I've find very refreshing and gave me the joy of understanding it. He really understands Comic Books and I've wanted to convey that to everyone that's reads them. He has so many threads that he started on Classic Comics Discussions that I've find to be very enjoyable to read.
