Just bought so many snacks at the market I don't know if I'm going to make dinner. Got like a four pound brick of bread pudding for 79 cents. I have those sweet cactus fruits, they're called tuna at the Mexican market but I'm pretty sure they have another name too. But if I do cook dinner it will be hamburgers with bleu cheese chunks in the patty on these dinner rolls I got at Panera Bread.

I made some vegetable pad thai, shrimp with curry powder and some frozen chicken spring rolls. After cutting the chili I promptly stuck my finger in my eye which felt GREAT.

I'm being treated to lots and lots of indian tonight...local hindus are gearing up for Divali, the festival of lights so I'll be cruising around and sampling quite a number of treats and dishes as well as getting some recipes.

I'm making gumbo, but decided I didn't want to deal with making a roux and deboning chicken so I'm using one of those "gumbo mix" things. We shall see.

Chicken Stir-Fry with Chinese Veggies on top of Brown Rice and Ice Tea to Drink. Later On I will have Snickerdoodles Cookies for dessert.

Came back from Ocktoberfest not that far from me where I had a couple bratwursts with saurkraut, German potato salad and washed it down with a couple of Warsteiner beers. Probably won't eat any dinner, but that's close enough.  |

I'm having a vermicelli bowl with tofu and spring rolls with shrimp. For lunch I had chicken pho and Vietnamese egg rolls. I am in a city with Vietnamese places and I plan to eat at as many as I can while here.

There's a chef named Ken Tuckifreid who's known for chicken. Just ask around - you're sure to find people who've had Ken Tuckifreid chicken.

Had a deli sandwich at the grocery store. It's probably my very favorite food there is, a good sub sandwich. I've had better than the ones at the grocery store, but not locally. Ralph's makes a good sandwich.
