Try a non-powered character. I'm trying to think of characters I find interesting; not really approaching it from a powers perspective. Robin is an easy choice, but it's too loaded a character for my tastes. So much has been done with Dick Grayson over the years that there doesn't seem to be a lot of room to play with his legacy as a result. That's why I've tried to go with interesting characters who don't get used that often. Mr. Terrific (Terry Sloane)?

Not particularly familiar with the character; he wouldn't be a top choice for me, but I have no problem with the character, so I suppose I can go that route.

I've got it -- Zatarra. They already introduced a new Zatarra in Teen Titans a decade or so back, but maybe we can take it one generation further?

I think I'll sit back and take my time trying to come up with a better idea, then. Sorry for taking up so much space in this thread.

Okay, I'm going to try this one last time. I see that the Earth 2 Robin has been claimed, but I assume the Earth 1 Robin is still fair game? Red Bird (Jorma Gordon Grayson) Son of Barbara Gordon and Dick Grayson. Background: When Jorma was six, he and his older brother were taken hostage when a villain learned his parents' identities. The older brother was killed, leaving Jorma traumatized and never himself again. As an adult, he has a genius level intelligence but exhibits a troubling lack of personality. He rarely speaks unless spoken to, and his responses generally lack any suggestion of feelings nor an awareness of the feelings of others. He seems most at home as Red Bird, and, while his methods are sound, his parents and colleagues are increasingly concerned that there is no concern for justice motivating his vigilantism. He does it clinically, and seemingly without purpose. It's for that reason, that Barbara Gordon pushed for him to be included into the Titans of Justice, in hope that it would bring out more of him, and also out of concern that he might cross a line and become dangerous if left unchecked. To date, he has arrived whenever needed, but has never engaged in any sort of socializing with the team, and attends but never participates during briefings. When he does speak, it's often quotes that only marginally relate to what is happening. A favorite of his is to calmly declare "Red birds fly out of the East and destroy Paris in a night" (Nostradamus) when taking down villain on occasion. Barbara Gordon and Dick Grayson are long since separated, but their common bond remains Jorma's well-being, and they both do what they can to assist him. Weapons include a series of custom red batarangs that he throws in quick succession -- essentially a cloud of red birds --, as well as smoke pellets, a small electronic device that can be used to hack electronic devices via wi-fi routers, and a silk rope. Costume is similar to the One Year Later Tim Drake Robin costume, only the blacks and reds are reversed, and the cape is red on both sides. Does that work?

Your Robin-based character is a good one, but in my opinion there is nothing wrong with your Firestorm idea.
If you prefer the Firestorm character you should go for it. After all, my character is Green Lantern. Firestorm and Green Lantern have similar power levels.

Shaxper - You are totally fine with using a Firestorm character. I usually only steer away from characters who are more powerful than Superman. I think it would be really cool to have a Firestorm legacy in the fan-fic. Let us know what you decide.

Yikes. Now I like them both Which one would be a better fit for the team? I say go with the Firestorm character. We had a FS legacy character in the last version of TOJ that I never got around to exploring much so I would welcome the opportunity to do a better job this time around.

OK, so I have an idea, but I'm not sure it's allowed:
Stardust: Kyle Theo Knight.. the son of Jack Knight and the Mist. He'll have mist-like powers, with the occassional ability, under great duress, to unleash a cosmic blast of force. He's not particular friendly to others, due to his heritage, but learning about the true history of his family inspired him to try the good side of the law, after a brief, uninspired career as a supervillain.

I will allow this character. I think he could have an interesting power-set. What do you think about him also carrying the Cosmic Rod instead of having internal cosmic blasts?

Especially if there is a female Firestorm legacy. Yeah we need more females.
