I haven't read any of Slott's Spider-Man so can't say yay or nay to his writing. I do say YAY to Marvel's First Family finally returning. Can only hope for the best while as with anything in comics lately I will just wait and see after it comes out if it is anything I may wish to read. Sad that all my favorite teams in Marvel and DC have for the most part been unreadable for me for so many years.

I'll give a shot. I miss the FF. And I liked Slott's Thing solo series:

Me too.
Gonna get Marvel-Two-In-One later in trade and am def going to pick up this latest FF.
Slott is one of the few Marvel writers I really like.
Excited for this !
Can't think of the last time I said that about a Marvel title.

I have most of their runs in all editions, I feel I owe it to them to try the new book.

I have a lot of FF, although I didn't pick up the last series that Marvel put out before relegating them to the bench.
That said, I don't know if I'm going to pick this up, at least not at full price initially. My enthusiasm for "new" comics is at an all-time low, as the ones I'm reading are failing to excite and I greet most announcements with a solid "meh" (although I am looking forward to Coates' take on Captain America, but it's hardly a surprise I'd give that a chance.)

Read better comics. Agreed, but the problem is most of the books I read were either better books but have been in decline (Aquaman, Doctor Strange) or seemed promising but have failed to deliver (Captain America, Moon Knight). As well, I find it hard to pick up new series that I don't know anything about, particularly the creator-owned atuff. That's just my hang-up, as my budget isn't unlimited, so I tend to be a bit more conservative in my choices.

This year focusing on searching out more of the older comic book collections and Newspaper comic collections. Have managed to spend on the entire Don Rosa collected Scrooge/Donald Ducks and the 3 Carl Barks books collecting his Scrooge work. A Mickey Mouse Sunday strips book. 4 Dick Tracy collected books. 5 Popeye collected books. Got my eye upon some of the Tarzan strip collections and Johnny Hazzard. Plenty to seek and find for good reads without all of the new stuff to sort through. Finding lately that I prefer to look through new issues and if liking it enough then will wait for the TPB.

I've enjoyed everything that I've read so far from Slott. So he's taking over both the FF and Iron Man? Then it's shaping up to be a great year indeed.

I have a lot of FF, although I didn't pick up the last series that Marvel put out before relegating them to the bench. Good choice - that last series was dreadful. I'm definitely going to give Slott's version a go - as others have said, his Thing series was really good, though the FF seems to be a hard book to get right; to my mind, it's been dreadful for most of it's history, apart from a couple of specific runs (about 40-50 of the Lee/Kirby issues, the Byrne run prior to the Negative Zone epic, and Hickman - that's about it, though I haven't read most of the 90s-early 00's)

Roy Thomas did a pretty good job and Wolfman's run was pretty good too.
Around 2000 or so Carlos Pacheco had a nice run as well.
The FF can be such a great concept.
I'm really looking forward to this title coming back again.
