The first arc by Simone was decent but a bit of a let down. Not a single Wonder Woman villain appeared and Gail gave Diana "Wonder-rangs" so she could use Bat-methods while in Gotham. It wasn't a terrible story but did leave something to be desired. After that was a story with Circe which was good and the last 2 chapters featured 2 Wonder-rogues that have been sorely missing from Wonder Woman's solo book in the New 52 so it was a huge treat to see them both.

I saw this book the other day and was surprised Wonder Woman has two books on the shelves. Is this like Legends of the Dark Knight?

Yes, all stories are set outside of any official continuity and each arc has a new creative team. While the first arc was mediocre, the others that have followed have all been pretty good to great. I recommend checking out this series.

Is this digital? I swear I stop following comics for month and I miss everything! This book comes out in digital format first and then about a month later it's comes out in Print Format. I always prefer printed book and I never, ever cared for digital comics at all.

Before my car crapped out I was big into digital, so I'm thinking I'll check this out when my saving rebound.

Yeah, it is a weekly digital that is then released as a monthly title. I am going to try and catch up on the digitals this weekend. I just got a new tablet, so I have to download all of them again. The Batman '66 digital is my favorite. The animation feature is the best!

Solid one off issue. The Marguerite Sauvage artwork in this issue is gorgeous and the panels of Wonder Woman playing guitar are just damn cool!

I guess I'll be the lone dissenter, I read the first 2 issues in print and was completely underwhelmed by both. Not terrible, but not worth the cover price in a competitive market where thee are more good comics out there than I can afford to read. I had high hopes for the Gail Simone story based on her recent work on Red Sonja, but I was so bored by the story I had to fight the urge to put it down unfinished, and many of the "cool Bat-moments" WW had were really just eye-rolling cringe moments for me. The second issue, with Diana as a girl was better, but I have seen several stories along similar lines done before and better, so I just couldn't figure out a reason why I should keep spending money on the series...

The artwork by Ethan Van Sciver was great however, the Wonder-rangs were silly especially considering that Wonder Woman already has her own boomerang in the form of her razor-sharp tiara. Then, there's the fact that DC launched a new Wonder Woman title without any Wonder-rogues in the first arc. It's no wonder that many DC fans think that Wonder-rogues aren't credible when hardly any writers use them. Many writers seem to default to the public domain Olympians, some "great new villain" the writer decides to create, or a villain from some other hero's rogues gallery. I want to see Wonder Woman fighting Wonder-rogues like Cheetah, Giganta, Dr. Psycho, Queen Clea, Dr. Poison, Angle Man, Silver Swan, Baron Blitzkreig, Gundra the Valkyrie, Red Panzer, Armegeddon, Osira, Zara, Aegeus, the Mask, Minister Blizzard, etc.
