I love Swarm! He often gets listed as a lame duck villain but I agree, there is something eerie and great about that design. I loved him in Peter Parker Spectacular Spider-Man...was that his first appearance ??

10. JuggernautIs there any better armoured villain costume out there? Well my front runner might have one (hint hint) but him aside, I don't think so. I also really just like his helmet for some reason. It is just a great look and once again, one that needs no changing because of how strong it is. In the 90's, some variations overdid the muscles but for my money, any cover with the Juggernaut has me wanting it because he is just a cool lookin' villain! Love me some Juggernaut.

Gonna use 'im so i don't bump him later.... Day Three - Multi-Man by Bob Brown and Ed Herron (here written by Arnold Drake) Just love this little big headed freak! A simple costume with a striking visual and lots of variations (not including his made-to-order giant robot girlfriend, the less said the better). Kevin Nowlan made him a little beefier in the JL series, but still...

10. The Royal Flush GangIt's a bunch of supervillains who dress up like playing cards and even fly around on gigantic flying playing cards. What's not to love about these guys?

Finally caught up. 10. Rocket Racer by Ross AndruYeah, he was only a villain for 5 minutes. I'm trying here. Anyways, it's the skateboard. I like when characters go vertical with them along a wall. The costume's cool, but he's on my list for the board. Way cooler than Marty McFly made his future skateboard look.

#10Back in the day he often rocked that royal raiment look-- Maximus He also had the best hair among the Inhumans royal family (apart from Medusa and Crystal). Love love his 'do Mop topped Maximus, by Kirby and S. Buscema A big thank you to Icctrombone for sharing the info/link to the merging two images site. Works great!

So the mighty has spoken, and obey I must, prithee bear with this vocabulary of mine, poor though it doth be. Choose another is the call, one whose place be unquestioned within yon hallowed ranks. This day Hela doth declare herself worthy of thine attention. 10. Hela-Goddess of Death

Unfortunately, Ronald may not be eligible under the rules. From what I can tell from the art posted, they lifted his look intact from the ads. Unless Paul can show me how they varied the design for the comic, I'll have to (reluctantly) rule against this selection.
Cei-U! I hate when this happens!

Yeah, that did cross my mind too -- it's hardly an original design. Still, I love that this villain and the attendant satire of MacDonalds and other burger chains happened in the pages of Judge Dredd.

10. Brainiac as redesigned by Ed Hannigan When Brainiac was first introduced, he wasn't known to be an artificial construct, so his green skinned humanoid appearance made that revelation a surprise, but by the time of the late Bronze Age, it made sense to embrace the mechanical nature that was now a primary aspect of the villain's appeal. Ed Hannigan (I believe I had the first ever-published Ed Hannigan fan letter printed!) was one of the design heroes at Marvel and DC in the 80's, and his reworking of Brainiac was magnificent. What strikes me most is that head: it evokes a human skull and a robot and a super-sized brain, with a look that conveys only cold menace. With a design change like this one, you're sacrificing the ability to convey multiple emotions with the face, and that's actually a plus for this character, who should never show pity, or surprise, or anger, or anything other than unblinking menace. And with a character of this nature, his transportation can be considered an extension of the character himself (itself?). That skull-faced, tentacled space ship is unforgettable, and really breaks all convention for spacecraft. Too bad NASA's current SLS vehicle is already so far along in design--maybe I could have pitched something like this to the Project Office!

10. Arkondesigned by John Buscema. Always liked this look and the whole concept behind the character: basically Arkon is a kind of Achilles or Conan character transplanted into the superhero universe, with a power-up to make him a match for even the most powerful of do-gooders. The design captures all of that in a simple but effective way. Love the helmet and his quiver of lightning bolts.

I keep gravitating back to your post to look at the second Juggernaut art. Who did that one?
