As for preferences...I am always up for trying something new so if whomever has me wants to surprise me, it's cool, but to throw a few things out there...
I am always up for anything Flash Gordon, in particular I am looking for Vol. 1 of the Checkers Flash Gordon by Alex Raymond collections (I have 2-7), I see volumes on the cheap at times that would fit the $15 limit but cover is a little over that), I also like any of the vintage FG paperback, especially those with Al Williamson illustrations
I am a pretty big fan of Robert E. Howard stuff in general, Conan in particular and any offbeat stuff outside the actual Marvel or Dark Horse comics is appealing.
Art books and art prints, I love art books.prints especially from/by artists I particularly enjoy.
Bone action figures, I have been looking in vain for these in the wild, not particularly expensive just hard to find, also looking for issues of Jeff Smith's Tuki series
Anthologies-I like comic anthologies as a way of finding new things.
Hanna Barbera stuff-from Space Ghost to Scooby Doo, I love it all.
Micronauts stuff outside the comics or trades of the new IDW series
Frazetta stuff-anything from covers of vintage paperbacks to prints, portfolios to lunchboxes with Frazetta art
there that should give you a range of ideas to choose from, or go outside the box and pick something you think I might like.
