Happy Thanksgiving to all of our members, although for our non-US based folks, I'm betting today is just "Thursday" for you.
If you are stateside, how will you be spending your day?
For me and my family, we will hang out this morning and watch the Macy's parade, then just kick around the house until mid-afternoon. At that point, we will head to my parents' place for an evening of dry turkey, lumpy mashed potatoes, and canned cranberries (my mom is not much of a cook) while hoping that my dad (who is an alcoholic and psycho-level right winger) and my sister (an atheist liberal) don't come to blows. We will also be celebrating my older daughter's 12th birthday (which is actually this upcoming Tuesday).
After that, we will be coming home early and getting a good night's sleep, as we are going to be going to a large event tomorrow morning consisting of a worship service followed by packing meals for the homeless and hungry. It's going to be a good way to start easing our girls into doing service for others, as I don't want them growing up self-centered and screen-addicted, especially when there are so many needs in the world that they can help with.

Around 1pm (Pacific Time) ... I'll be heading to my brother's place to carpool with them for Dinner at my Nephew Home and have a traditional ham dinner we have ham every two years to mix things up. After dinner we play hearts together to have fun and socialize a bit. Then, we have desserts and we have Pumpkin, Mincemeat, Apple, and Rhubarb Pies ... with a small scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream. My girlfriend Sandy will be joining me and her parents are in Charlotte celebrating Thanksgiving with her younger brother and his family. Sandy usually goes to Charlotte but she has to work on Friday covering the office for Thanksgiving Holidays. She'll retire in September 2018 as a Business Consultant working 30 years.
That's how I'm celebrating Thanksgiving this year and one more bit of news ... I've have a newborn grandniece that born 2 days ago and excited to see her for the first time! She is my 11th grandnieces and grandnephews that I have. I got another gift to buy for Christmas this year.

I won't be doing the Thanksgiving thing until Saturday, when I go to my brother's place for dinner. I still get turkey and whatnot tonight when my sister brings me a plate from dinner at her sister-in-law's non-accessible house. My plan is to spend the day catching up on my TV crime shows, playing some Marvel Heroes, and writing the Advance Warning thread for Classic Comics Christmas '17.
A happy Thanksgiving to all my CCF brothers and sisters. Your friendship and support are two of the things I'm most thankful for.
Cei-U! I summon the pumpkin pie!

Going to my mother's for semi-neutral territory with my kids and their mother. Not sure whether I'm more concerned that it will get uncomfortable or that we'll get along too uncomfortably well. Either way, this should be interesting, and it's a test for how Christmas Eve and Day with the kids are going to work.

Yup. Cei-U! Looooooove that game! Wow. I'm in a campaign, myself, that's been running for a little over a year now. The DM revised a lot of rules, and it works extremely well as a result. We do a hybrid in-person/online/skype in thing. Maybe we could get you to do a cameo in our campaign sometime?

Going to the in-laws, though my sister will also be there because her kids are with their dad this year. My middle son got home from Boise early this morning after work. I'm about to throw a ham on the smoker. Unfortunately my mother-in-law is not a very good cook and frankly I'm not very big on most traditional Thanksgiving foods so I'll probably be eating largely ham sandwiches.
I'm really hoping my wife's Uncle isn't there as it's always a question whether he and I will get into a fistfight over politics.
Merry Thanksgiving to all and to all a good bite.

We will have my parents, my in laws, my oldest daughter, her husband, her husbands parents, my youngest daughter & her fiancé - at our home. Traditional meal & activities. My wife & I like to host everyone. Tomorrow I will work to give some of my coworkers a longer holiday. My wife & daughters will be out shopping anyway. Then Sat & Sun the tree & Christmas decorations go up.

Tomorrow I will work to give some of my coworkers a longer holiday. Very generous of you to do that for your co-workers. Do you get holiday pay for that?

I don't follow online Marvel games much, so there may be more than one and it might be a different game, but I saw something on BC about it when I followed a link on my newsfeed. -M

Since I cut back to part time my time is more flexible now. So I try & give those who still work full time a break when I can. After all isn't that what this time of the year is supposed to be about...giving to others?
