Everyone knows he should have an Aussie accent. That X-Men cartoon in the 80's featured Wolverine with an Aussie accent. Apparently it left such an impression that years later they went and hired an Aussie to play him in the movie. I don't know what the moral of this story is, but there's something about it that I find disturbing. I say it's best to stick with geographically accurate accents or as close as possible. They should have had Rick Moranis or Dave Thomas play him in "Great White North" mode.

The group Run the Jewels composed of El-P and Killer Mike have completely restored my faith in new hip hop. They made their first self titled record available for free download and currently you can listen to both their CDs on youtube.

So apparently the original art for the Ramones' Rock and Roll High School movie poster by William Stout is up for sale at the Heritage Auctions... storyOpening bid only $2400... I know the song Rock and Roll High School was my first exposure to the Ramones as a kid (it was on a K-Tel album collection (or in my case cassette) that I got for a Christmas present and was my favorite song on the album-I think there was a Blondie and Pretenders track on it I liked too and the rest was pretty much crap). I did discover a few more Ramone tracks I liked, but but did not venture further into the sea of punk at that time. -M

Punk rock and 50's B-movies combined! It's like a modern version of the Misfits.

I have been listening once again to Adam and the Ants wonderful album Kings Of The Wild Frontier (1980), a classic post punk/new wave album. It would be a shame if one of it's songs doesn't make it to the Ant-Man movie soundtrack
