My son took me to see Man or Astroman? in Buffalo last week--first concert for me in a few years. I had to remind a couple of his friends that, yes, I was listening to this band when they were only 5 years old. LOL. I saw them at SXSW back in 99, I think. I just added a bunch of their stuff to my Spotify account last night, as I realized I hadn't heard anything from them in awhile. Birdstuff and Starcrunch are the only original members on the current tour, which was fine with me since it meant they focused on pre-EEVIAC stuff, which I frankly prefer. A nice touch was that they brought members of the two opening bands out during their set and did a song all together (Don't Change by INXS of all things). |
