Great late '90s UK one-hit wonders (though I don't know how much of a hit it actually was ...) --

There aren't many what I consider complete artist that earned my respect, but Chris Rea is most definitely on the top of that list. He is a phenomenal guitar player, has a great voice, and his compositions are par excellence, both musically and lyrically. Auberge from 1991

Love this -- one of my favorite old Sun Records tracks with footage from what vague memory from childhood tells me has to be footage from the Marvel Superheroes "Iron Man" segment, which would've been my intro to the character back in 2nd grade --

Very nice, first I heard of that one. And yeah, works oddly well with the old Marvel cartoon.
Also, the song is correct - never trust a guy with a sleazy moustache like Tony Stark. Unless it's Doctor Strange, then it's not sleazy, it's cool.
I don't know much about rap or hip hop - not even enough to know if I'm using either of those terms correctly here - but there's a guy with the stage name MF Doom who did some really nice work a few years ago in which he extensively sampled the audio from the old 60s FF cartoon. I thought he made really good use of it, one of the few rap things I liked a lot on first listen. Though admittedly, the 60s FF comics connection probably had something to do with that.

In honor of her recent "comeback" concert, I present the great Kate Bush as a spry 19 year old ready to take the world by storm.

^ Ha ha. Paul Young is nothing like in his later days. Where did he loose his sense of humor?
Is there such a thing as Progressive Disco? The French band: Rockets mostly popular in Italy and a refuge for Sal Solo, the British singer recovering from a New Romantic movement who fit in the general appearance like a glove, certainly think so. Galactica

Punk/Ska in ex-YU wasn't as big as in UK, but those who practiced in the genre gained great respects of the public and the press. Many of them were high profile personas, like teachers and other influential individuals. The quality of the music was high, as well. For instance: Petar i Zli Vuci (Peter & The Bad Wolves) was a super-group of sort, made from the members of other prominent rock bands like "Hypnotized Chicken" and "Electric Orgasm". The biggest surprise was them winning the Youth Festival in 1981 with their song "Ogledalo" (Mirror) (I was there, great performance, deserved victory). Yet, the band never released a full length album. They only left few singles behind. Though times.
