Anyone here dig the Dropkick Murphys? I've seen Dropkick Murphys so many times, they get better every time I see them.

I've seen live clips on Youtube. It seems like a blast.

More interesting tidbits from Yu-Rock scene. One of the controversial figures was Ivan Glišić poet, punker, underground celebrity. He formed a band entirely made of his 6th grade students and help them write their songs. Mudre Sove (Wise Owl's) was the youngest band in Yugoslavia and perhaps in the world. They become overnight success when more than 4000 people showed up on their first concert, while TV shows were competing to book them. Then something happened that can only happen to the "youngest band ever" The parents forbid them to play and the Communist regime burned the master tape of their first album, that never saw the light of day. So what happened? Well, I'm not sure but let's see this song from their only single: Apa Upa Up. It goes something like this: "Apa Upa Up, U Nas Zelen Cuk" not worth translating since it's hardly more than a gibberish. Then follows: "Ko Se Prvi Javi, Dobice Po Glavi" (translation) "Whoever complains the most, Will be smacked on the head"
Cute. Obviously, those on power didn't think so, and Ivan Glišić left for UK.

Just finished watching the Joy Division documentary and really enjoyed it. A must see for any fan of the band. It contains tons of footage from early live performances.

I liked the Dropkicks when they were first around, but I admittedly have gonna kinda tired of them now that they're everywhere around here.
Picked up the new STP EP, with Linkin Park Chester Bennington replacing Scott Weiland... it's pretty good... He does a good job fitting into the band without taking it over (though 1 of the 5 tracks definitely could be a Linkin Park song. Hopefully a full album will come out at some point.
