I did have a problem with the last episode title of Breaking Bad telling me exactly what was going to happen and the ending. I'm afraid I don't follow. The episode was titled "Felina," an anagram of "finale." It's also been posited that in the lexicon of the show, "Fe-Li-Na = Iron-Lithium-Sodium = Blood-Meth-Tears." I'm misunderstanding you in some fashion (not for the first time ). How did the title give everything away? In any event, they had me with Badfinger's Baby Blue. "Guess I got what I deserved. . ." Perfectly sublime.

Marty Robbins' milieu is outside my field of experience, but I do recall now that the song was said to have paralleled the episode. Apologies for wasting your valuable time catching me up.

Apologies for wasting your valuable time catching me up. It's not a waste if someone learned something. And you should listen to your cowboy music.

It's not a waste if someone learned something. True, but it can be burdensome to keep up with. In other words, waste is a terrible thing to mind. How can I have any pudding if I don't eat my meat? Color me chastened. I'll add some to my iPod. Honest.

The Mary Tyler moore Show has a great final episode, as they say their tearful goodbyes. The emotion was honest. One of my most cherished was not the series finale; but, the finale to the Emma Peel years of The Avengers, "The Forget-Me Knot." Emma hands over to Tara King, and says her goodbyes to Steed, as her husband has been found alive and has returned. There is a tearful goodbye, some advice for Tara and we see Emma get into a car with a man, who from behind looks rather like Steed. The Mary Tyler Moore brought back another round of tears ... I just loved it ... Emma Peel and Tara King ... Poor Video, but what memories of it. I just loved smile on Diana Rigg's Face ... Thank you so much for this. I had forgotten about this. I haven't gotten to that episode yet in my recent viewing. He called her Emma.

adamwarlock2099 ... I thought that is touching and sweet. I'm glad it's brought back memories too. I was a huge Avengers Fan myself.

Accordind to interviews for Avengers and other things she did later and cross-referencing them, it seems likely that being offered better stuff like working alongside Vincent Price in Theatre of Blood had something to do with it. great goldurn movie, btw; joe bob shoulda been given it for Monstervision or Drive-In-Theatre.

That's pretty cool about the breaking Bad finale and the Marty Robbins song, first I heard about it - I'm a bit of a Marty Robbins fan and have a box set (only 2 cds and a pretty thin booklet, unfortunately) of "The Essential" but I didn't even notice the title of the episode, not that I would have made the connection if I had.

Was it Dianna Rigg that wanted to leave the show or the producers/studio? Here's what I know, she left the series because of her pay was so low that the cameraman (She was very angry of that) of the series is making equal pay with her; in 1967 she was offered the role of Tracy (Bond Girl) she and the James Bond producers grabbed her immediately to be the female lead on "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" that was completed in 1969. Because of loyalty to MacNee - she came back to do 25 more episodes so that she can transition to Tara King. She left because of the pay issue because the Bond Movie made her a star and her pay was tripled and later a sizable bonus as well and decided to go on to bigger things and this made her more a versatile star than ever before. During the time of the filming of that Bond Movie ... Avengers fans are complaining of too many reruns of previous shows so that they can buy time for the transitioning from Emma Peel to Tara King who's was being played by Linda Thorson. This is the best answer that I can give you.

That's a shame. She was as big of a star as Patrick Macnee and they both had such a dynamic and respectful male and female bond that I wouldn't see again till Mulder and Scully. Her and Steed were so much a perception of something outside the US when I watched it. I dunno if it's accurate but that was my summation. I wanted to be Steed and crushed on Mrs Peel. I think it's why the same thing happened to me with Mulder and Scully. Though the end of that shoe didn't fare as well.
