This show will probably always be my very favorite of all time.
I can't watch this opening without getting teary eyed.
I was a sophomore in high school when this premiered and I was hip deep in Frank Miller's Daredevil and Will Eisner's The Spirit.
This show resonated so deeply with me.
Just bought the complete DVD set about a year ago. It's buried in my move but will be digging it out and watching it again, then lending to my dad and brothers, and son.

Let an old man indulge himself This show had 3 different openings. Oh Rob! The theme from "It's About Time" has been floating around in my head for decades, along with the one from "Super Chicken".

It may not have been a great show, and I may not be a fan of country, but this opening always rocked my world.

What kid hasn't tried to throw an axe at a tree after watching this?
Great tune, too (which got transformed into a naughty one by our irreverent young imaginations).

Just don't let Ned Romero throw one on a talk show! Edward Woodward got a couple of great ones that really fith the mood of his shows: Callan The Equalizer The only Stewart Copeland theme music I liked. Somebody on imdb once proposed that the Equalizer was a continuation of Callan, that Robert McCall is David Callan. It certainly fits, thematically. Callan is a crook forced to work for a dirty tricks counter-intelligence agency, who hates what he does and wants out. Robert McCall is a seasoned agent who is tired of the years of dirty jobs, death, and deception. Probably deliberate and how they sold the idea to Woodward. My favorite version of the Man From UNCLE openings: The slightly more swinging Girl From UNCLE (Ooh, Michael Ansara as guest star; always a sign of a great episode!) Masquerade was a Mission Impossible copy, from the 80s. Good show, not wild about the theme; but, the intro montage sells the idea well... Another favorite (and tragic) 80s spy show: Cover Up For the youngins, co-star (and hunk of meat) John Eric Hexum was playing around with a firearm on set and pointed the barrel at his head and pulled the trigger. The gun discharged, firing the wadding of the blank cartridge into his skull, killing him. If memory serves, it was a .44 cal, which means a lot of powder in the blank cartridge. Even a lower caliber blank cartridge could have been dangerous at that kind of range. and of course, Wonder Woman

Thats pure fraggin (as Lobo would say) gold Hal. Love it. I saw William Tell (Guillaume Tell opera) a few months ago and it was quite an experience to be swept up in the audience's communal anticipation as the overture neared the "Lone Ranger section" (there are three other parts that precede that famous section).

That Girl featuring Marlo Thomas (she is very easy on the eyes!) She was incredibly glamorous and her eyes were totally unreal. And, not to mentioned her smile too.
