At 9:22pm EST tonight, it will have been three years since we began this crazy adventure here. To those who were there from the start, as well as those of you who have joined us along the way, thanks for making this the homiest place for discussing classic comics on the world wide web!

I didn't know that Classic Comics Forum was three years old and I thought it was older than that; shaxper and having said that this site has been a fun place to go to on a daily basis and I pretty much learn something new everyday about the world of Comics and through Confessor reviews of Tintin - I did not know that these books existed until he started to review them. They became instant favorites and I enjoy the work of Herge. And of course you Shax, I did not know that a Comic Book of T.H.U.N.D.E.R existed either and became a big fan of that book and I was stunned by it and most importantly of the great characters as well. As you all know, I'm a big fan of redheads and that brings about the character that goes by the name of Iron Maiden. I can go on, and on - but I'll stop here and thanks for making this site unique and true to it's core. Happy Birthday CCF! |

Three years old! "sniff" they grow up so fast...
I remember when the old CBR forums were rebooted & this part of the forums disappeared. It wasn't a nice feeling.
Then shaxper in the immortal words of Capt Picard said "Make It So" & this board was created. Once again there was dancing in the streets & us CCF's finally found our way back home. The Force was with us that day.
OK so I was a bit dramatic but this forum became something even better in the past 3 years. THANKS to shaxper for starting this forum & to all the mods who keep it running smoothly & to all my fellow posters who make this the BEST forum on the internet (IMO).

Words are often inadequate, but I just wanted to say I'm really glad you set up this forum, shax. I only started reading the threads regularly in late 2015, but the people who comprise the community are some of the most knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and funny people on the internet. I consider the CCF an enrichment of my reading experience of comic books.

CCF's predecessor on the old CBR boards was the best subsection and it was great that Shax created this haven for us all.
IMO, there's no doubt that this has surpassed those original boards. It's a great community that really cares about comics and I love that we all share and learn from each other.
I haven't looked lately, but in my experience, nothing else comes close to the mighty CCF.
Happy third anniversary and many more to come.

It's been quite a journey since the Crisis On CBR torched our old home. Shax created our lifeboat, for which I'll always be grateful. It's been an honor to help keep it running and I hope it will last for many years to come. Happy birthday CCF, it's been a pleasure watching you grow.
