Was it a warning or a full blown 1 month ban ? I just got a warning; well, more of a "I sympathize; but, this isn't helping and could lose you your privileges" kind of response. I agreed that it was getting pretty juvenile and just threw in the towel to complaining about the changes and lack of any real content. Wasn't much of a threat, as I wasn't posting much, other than the cover contest. |

I only post on the contest also. I got warned 3 years ago for telling a member to be careful of light when hanging their comics on the walls of their home. sheesh.  |

I think they got a bit more mellow after Jonah sold the site and stepped down from admin duties. It's not like those early weeks after the reboot, when every joke post got deleted and every controversial thread got closed. I think especially Conn Seanery is doing a fine job. Certainly not the worst place on the net.

When I've been going there to lurk and check out things I've noticed that troll of the worst kind seems to be permentatly banned. Maybe I'll sign up now.

I think especially Conn Seanery is doing a fine job. Well, he's the one who gave me the "friendly warning." On the whole, I'd have to say he was being fair, if not helpful. i exchanged a couple of e-mails with pointed critiques of the changes (loss of Comics Should Be Good, clickbait articles, vacuous content); but, his mantra was pretty much the mods had no involvement with that. Problem was, they were the only ones who would respond. I don't envy him the job and I said "Mea culpa," and settled down and then just walked, when I found alternatives. I have to say, I was even kind of disinterested in Comic Legends Revealed, by that point. It felt like it was spinning its wheels, looking for a juicy topic; but, they had all been done. |

At the time right after the reboot, what stood out the most to me was Jonah's disconnect with the community he himself had founded, so in my perception any unreasonable ban was the result of his new policy. But of course it's the mods who make the judgment, and I recall now that some of you guys who had been CBR veterans with no 'bad track record' so to speak, found yourselves banned for stupid reasons. I'd almost forgotten how infuriating that was.

Two get in my 2 cents on this subject matter - I've almost joined this community 10 years ago and I was a frequent guest and read many stuff "offline" and I felt that this community isn't right for me and having said that I didn't want to make my home for discussing comics at all.
There's I've spoken ... Sorry CBR you've weren't my cup of tea!
