I was on them about an hour ago for the NFL talk and their cover contest, when to go back and all my bookmarks now took me to the CBR main page instead of the forums. Did a google search for the forums and all links there took me to the main page instead. The community link on the main page only takes you back to the main page, not the forums now. I think the new owners just wiped out the forums unless there is something else going on I am not aware of.
If so, there might be an influx of people looking for a new home to talk comics.

Or could be because they don't generate dollars.
Either way...I just don't care. They burned the place and salted the Earth for me under Jonah's watch.
The plus would be that maybe Conn would be out on his arse.

Even the icon for my bookmark to the forum changed to the new CBR logo, so I don't think this is just a glitch, unless they tried to do an update that went horribly wrong somehow.

Hmmm it might be a conspiracy-I won the last cover contest before the forum reboot in 2014 and never got to start the new contest, and I currently had the most votes in this week's contest when the forums disappeared-someone is trying to keep me from victory I tell you!   -M |

I got a friendly warning, after a few too many snarky comments. I calmed down and decided that it wasn't worth the effort to get mad at the mess it had become; and, then I saw the e-mail from the Atomic Junkshop crew about their new site, and a mention there about this place. After that, to paraphrase Meatloaf (and Jim Steinman) "Like a bat out of hell I was gone when the morning came..." |
