The other day on Facebook I was watching a video of these guys who are a group of so called comic book readers/fans.
They were at this comic book shop that I go to once every few months.
They were doing some scavenger hunt in 15 minutes. What they were doing is that all they did was just nab a bunch of issues of old Marvel's Nam comic and one other guy just grabbed a bunch of good decent 1990s Incredible Hulk stuff that I was interested in getting sometime.
They werent randomly finding stuff during this scavenger hunt. Its like they knew what they were looking for and had to grab them all in 15 minutes.
To me, I think that was really unfair and disgusting for them to do a crappy scavenger hunt at a comic book shop of all places.
Anyone else seen other people do that kind of low shady stuff at a comic book shop?

Back when I worked in a LCS during the late 80's shoplifting was a big problem when the store was crowded.

I have absolutely zero idea why this would be "disgusting". Nor to I have any idea to whom it would be "unfair."

If they paid for the merchandise then what's your point?

I'm a bit confused as to what the conflict is here. If they paid for it, then they're within their rights to do so.

It's the scavenger hunt in the comic shop that's the problem .
All they did was just hover at Mmm t a comic long box picking out single issues that they knew where and what to look for.
Isn't a scavenger hunt supposed to play out where you find things randomly.
Those people knew what to look for specifically such as bunch of certain key issues of the incredible hulk and even Morbius

Gee, Heavens to Betsy . Lock them up and throw away the key. I shan't be able to get a wink of sleep now

People having fun in a way that doesn't hurt anybody and makes the owner of the comic shop some money on merch that wasn't moving. How reprehensible. -M

I'm perplexed over the concept of "key issues of Morbius".

I'm perplexed over the concept of "key issues of Morbius". Hey, some of the pre-90's stuff Morbius was in was pretty good!

Key issues of hulk or any marvel comic. Not just morbius.
But these guys were just hovering right at certain comic boxes full of incredible hulk, old Shade changing man whatever, Nam and moribund.
They knew what comics they were looking for and where exactly the comics are in the boxes.
Aren't you supposed to find exact random stuff in a scavenger hunt or whatever? What they did wasn't much of a scavenger hunt. Like I said they knew exactly what to find in the right box.
Heck one of the guys pretty much literally snatched up half of the 1990s issues of the incredible hulk even issue 400

I've think a scavenger hunt inside of a Comic Book Store is pretty idiotic because Comic Books can be damaged when people are looking for a particular issue. That's my take on this subject matter.
