Thanks! Although, I don't think the button appears on safari. I can't see it at least. I do see a "recently updated threads" link buried down there though, www.classiccomics.org/threads/recent , which seems even better. The recent posts page is cool, but a bit of a confusing mishmash. Interesting - on Chrome, the 'Recent Posts' link is right next to 'Recent Threads'.

I always bookmarked this site by entering www.classiccomics.org and nothing else and this way I get everything I want. Shaxper, advises me that I do this to get everything I need here. I use Chrome too.

How do you tag a board member in a post? In my defense, I'm usually on my phone with limited data and don't have time to figure some stuff out. That's the excuse I'm going with anyway. I would have thought just typing a user ID would give the option to tag that user. It doesn't on my phone in any event.

Move your cursor over the poster's name in one of their posts and leave it there; you should see a small window open, giving you a name like @ mfd1. That's what you use: the member's username preceded by @. (You have to use the original username, though; when members change their screen name, the @ address stays the same).

I'll blame it on these new glasses.

I finally settled on a user ID I wanted, other than my initials. I didn't want to go with plain old Peter Parker. One of the reasons I love him so much and can relate to him is he's always troubled with problems. Hence, my new user ID.

Imagine if you joined a comic book message board a few years ago. You really enjoyed the board, until you discovered a number of prominent members of that board were disparaging President Obama with a pet name based on his physical appearance. Such a thing would sicken most decent folk, and you'd be one of them and you'd want nothing more than to delete your account from that message board. Well, that's the very thing happening on this message board. A number of key members of this comic book message board have been disparaging our current President by referring to him mockingly by a reference to his physical appearance. I am sickened by this, as I would have been if this board had referred to our last President in a way that disparaged him relative to his physical appearance. And it's KEY board members often doing this. I want nothing more than to have my account deleted and to move on from this place. I've been told I won't get my wish, though.
