Not sure if this was my first, but it was my favourite for a long time: She sure could move, too. Check out the engine! Of course, you always had to start at the top of a steep slope to get going, but after that, watch out!

My Car History
1) 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger - 1977 to 1984 2) 1980 Pontiac Phoenix - 1984 to 1985 - Worst Car Ever 3) 1984 Ford Bronco II - 1985 to 1992
4a) 1990 Ford Taurus - 1993 to 2003 4b) 1990 Plymouth Reliant - 1993 to 2003
5) 2002 Ford Taurus - 2003 to Present
I own two cars from 1993 to 2003 because of work, I was driving 200 miles a day going from one Boeing Plant to another for meetings and what not. I had the Reliant at my Dad's place and we were both were using it at the same time as a backup car and most of the time I use it the most and the Reliant is in my own name. So, I was paying insurance on both of these cars for 10 years and I traded them both in for the 2002 Ford Taurus of which I own nearly 14 years on March 7th.
On March 7th of this year - it will be the 14th year that I own that car and running great. Six Cars in all.

I had one of these once... It was hard work trying to sell it though because since the XP-38 came out, they just aren't in demand.

1969 Plymouth Valiant, with a 3-speed manual transmission (on the column). A classmate had a '66 Falcon and when we were parked next to each other, at school, it looked like a time warp. The experience of driving it came in handy, a few years later, when I was a midshipman. I was on my summer training cruise and my ship made a port visit in Santa Barbara, CA, for a nautical festival. Some of the officers and midshipmen were being transported to a reception, by the local reserve center. The van we were transported in had a 3-speed transmission. When the driver hoped in the van, he was startled to find a clutch. I was in shotgun and asked if he knew how to drive stick, figuring, if not, I would end up driving. He had; but, had never seen a manual transmission, on the column. I spent 5 minutes teaching him the shifting pattern and still had to prompt him a couple of times, on the trip over. I still drive stick; but, it's a 5-speed, Hyundai Elantra.
