You guys wouldn't believe my work stories if I told you. If I told you, for example, that the other week my department head attempted to strangle a teacher and broke another teacher's desk in the process, you might accuse me of making this up. And you'd definitely accuse me of making it up if I told you the two were friends and we all found this hilarious. What??? No no, I believe you, but were they just messing around? Yep. My department head is one of a kind. She's both incredibly sensitive and also just doesn't give a f*ck. You never know which version of her you're going to get and, when it isn't scary, it's downright amusing.

Oh lord. So Andrew is a real good friend at work. Like, so close everybody thinks we're dating. We even flirt around people just to keep them on their toes. It's well known that he hates glitter. So, I like to go to the holiday sections, which almost always have something glittery and touch everything. (If it doesn't, there's always glitter on the shelves that's fine loose from the containers.) I'll then go and pat him somewhere. His hair, his vest, his beard. I'll even cover my vest and give him a big hug! And then say something about sparkling and he just...knows. And glitter does not come off easy! His reaction always amuses me.

Ok so I'm standing around at register 15. Ain't so bad. Just boring at this point. Then the phone rings. Since I'm manning 15 it's my job to answer that. I take two steps before I realize that's not the main line. But it's also not my register phone either. I listen and realize it's register number 10 ringing. Very odd. So I go over and answer it. Nothing. As I hang it up and turn away I have to spin back to it. Because the phone cord was NOT plugged in. I knocked the phone off the receiver and did not go back to it.

You are entering another dimension. One where phones ring when they are not plugged in. Your next stop: the Twilight Zone! That's exactly how I felt!! I rang later that night again, too! This time my CSM was present! Then self check's phone rang while I was near. Upon answering it, there was some hysterical laughing bordering on crying. I think I'm done with phones.
